Yeah you have to be crazy to get jlvl 9+ before chapter 4. jlvl 9 is reasonable, but the JP required skyrockets going 9-10 (the JP required going from 9-10 is more than the total JP you've earned on that class up to that point--jlvl 1-9 are 2500 JP combined, 9->10 is 3500), which corresponds to the huge jump in JP earned per battle in chapter 4 (you go from like ~50-60 to 200+ per battle).
You're just going to faceroll the next bit of the game--I remember seeing a YT video of someone beating chapter 4 at level 58 and even that wasn't hard.
As an aside, Sword Lore is kind of pointless for a Pirate, because Pirate needs the +Agi from Fox Tail really badly anyway, so you may as well save the passive slot and stick to your natural proficiency.

I agree. OTHOF is super good idea.
I'm playing the game with 200% encounter rate, and I even had Moonbear's "Come at me" skill that double the encounter rate again from freelancer for awhile in chapter 2. I've spent roughly 100k on just Turbo Ethers alone so I don't have to run back to town and heal. WTB Tents. Ringabell's Theif is almost maxed, about 1500 from max.

I don't think my parents and I went through the same things at all but our upbringing were vastly different (especially from my mother's) and context, etc.
Then again it's not like I miss not losing my father to cancer at 23 or so.
