yeah but considering this is a probability tree, 3 and 4 are both results.
alternatively, i could say that the result "3" has double the chance of occuring
and even if you don't want this to be the case, it'd still be 50% if you disregard the 4. Not anywhere close to 33%.
€: to expand, I suspect that the problem in yango's calculations is that he doesn't account for the argent dying on two hits.

You'd also have to take into account that the number of targets decreases if the argent protector takes two hits. Not that it'd be too complicated to math out but it makes it too convoluted for me to try mental calculus and not hesitate about the result.

I still don't get 50% (mentally), but I agree that it's not 33%.
But I'm not actually going to try and math it because having a BS in Math means I don't actually have to be able to do math.
