arena screws you so hard with actually drawing the good cards that you've drafted that when i have a choice between 1 good and 2 shitty cards, i draft a shitty card, hoping that i trick the game into thinking i really wanted the shitty card (and therefore triggering the mechanism that prevents you from ever actually drawing the cards you want)

The only card that consistently fucks me over in arena is mindcontrol tech. I'm not sure if its rigged to steal the strongest enemy minion more often (hence more exciting to play, if I was a programmer I would do this, just like zynga poker) but I never consider this card. When I'm winning hard, I tend to put a strong minion out so that "i will continue to do damage despite flamestrike" and in turn it gets jacked and I get fucked.

Oh well. I'll learn and remember once I care.

Fuck you all -.- Shounen is aimed at teens mostly, it focuses more on comedy/lightheartedness, think Naruto/One Piece/Fairly Tail/Bleach. Seinen is deeper and darker and is for young adults/later teens, usually more death/gore/nudity depending on series, not as much comedy, if any at all.

I like Jormundgand, I prefer more moral ambiguity/drama type manga rather than comedy though, so I guess it just fits into my personal tastes more. A lot of my favorite series' fall into that type of category, Psyren and Berserk being two of the longer running, but Ordinary±, Destro 246 and Black Joke are all good as well.

Jormundgand is nice because of the focus and how everyone is psychotic, yet human, like a less fucked up version of Gantz maybe?

i stopped reading gantz around the part with the vampire aliens and the other teams from like america. i last looked it up when they had some god alien robots with hitler inside them or something, and i thought to myself, shit, you should've quit while you're ahead.

air gear was one of my favorite series but did some retarded shit like that too but thankfully the author ended it when he realized nothing made sense anymore. i don't follow much anymore, just vinland saga, jojo, and whatever tsutomu nihei is doing because he can do no wrong bless his soul.

Air Gear author ended way too late, shit was already starting to make no sense and continued on for like 30 chapters I think. At least that's what it felt like in retrospect. It's weird, just remember shit got really stupid, but I've lost the sense of when that happened.
Jojo just crazy fun from I heard, should start on that sometime. I don't know if you have, but Berserk might be good for you, and if the author behind Drifters releases consistently, then Drifters is definitely up there.

Most Seinen are way too tryhard, though. Gantz and Attack on Titan are the worst offenders I can think of, killing off a main character and bathing pages in gore for shock value was entertaining and exciting the first couple times, but after like the fiftieth chapter of "oh man we killed off this really nice dude and glued his face to a flail" it kind of loses the zing.

Edit: Deadman Wonderland was a fantastic Seinen until the author's illness made it go on break and then it kind of went eh. Still really good tho

Anyone and everyone should read: Onani Master Kurosawa, Psyren, Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, Molester Man, Bonnouji, Tonari No Seki Kun, and Angel Densetsu. All fantastic, all a bit under the radar for your average reader.

And of course things like Trigun, Death Note, Hellsing, FMA - but those are usually popular enough to go without saying. All MUCH better than their anime counterparts, though.

Brotherhood was pretty close to the manga of FMA. I thought it was pretty good.

Brotherhood was closer to the manga, but they rushed the first few episodes because they assumed everyone watched the first. Still, it's much better overall, though the original anime has a decent story.
