Huehuehue Well for me my mom died when i was young and so my dad was always working. So if i didn't do chores shit would just not get done, so it's a habit for me to do everything. I also hate dirty things and when I see my room getting dusty for instance I clean it within the next 24 hours. | ||

Up until TFT included, Blizzard kept the English names, but starting with WoW they translated everything. Stuff like Sylvanas Windrunner became Sylvanas Coursevent (literally Windrun, problem with dropping the determiner is that it makes it sound/look better but you lose meaning: you can't tell if it's intended as "running like the wind", running on/riding the wind", "racing the wind", etc.), Ironforge became Forgefer (here there's no ambiguity despite the lack of determiner because whichever one you'd use would still mean "Iron Forge"). Hellscream is translated as Hurlenfer, porte-manteau between Hurle (shouts, yells, screams) and Enfer (Hell). Literally, it could be "Hurlement infernal" or "Hurlement des Enfers" depending on whether it's meant as "A scream from Hell" or "Hell's scream", but hurlement is way too long a word to use elegantly here, so they settled with something shorter. The issue is that where Hellscream is ambiguous because it could have 2 meanings, Hurlenfer is ambiguous because it has no meaning and you're left to interpret it. It's the case with a lot of French translations of names where you get the intent from the original name rather than the translation itself that just puzzles you. | ||

I guess the venture co just looks so funny from a german perspective.. Speaking of bad videogame translations, this is the reason I can't play games in german unless that's the original language. The translations just looks so incredibly awkward if there's not a good german word/phrase for the original meaning and then it either is left as it's in the original (in which case I might as well play in english) or it's awkwardly translated in which case I always cringe really hard. | ||

When I was really young she always would wash the floors once/month, but once I turned like, 10, I began doing that always. And dusting. She would sometimes vacuum but normally my dad did that because my sis was pretty useless at that stage of her life lol. It was weird because we always used to fight a LOT growing up. Now we always just joke and get along super well. That part seems to run in the family though... >_> I know when my aunt and dad were growing up, she would pick on him when he was really young (they're like 6 years apart), and my dad ended up hitting her over the head with a cooking pot for self defense. Put a dent in the darn thing. | ||

In the end, the English booklets packed less information than the French one on a regular basis (Golden Sun had a bunch of details on the characters that weren't mentioned in the English part for example), which surprised me a bit (I assume it's because it was directly translated from the Japanese for most of my games, American games would have had their booklets redacted in English to begin with so that couldn't happen). I can't really remember how the Spanish fared, and I don't speak the other 2 languages. | ||
