awesome, love to see more live competitions ^_^
so cool!! wish i could attend. curious about the lineup
Always glad to see some new competition come up!
Timing wise this is right after EWC. Bit unfortunate I guess
Finally Mana can win an offline event in 2025 with everyone being in Saudi still
Wish they would have organized this a month later or so, it will get absolutely drowned by EWC - quite weird decision

Since we have a lot of posters that doesn’t support Saudi, in theory they won’t watch EWC. They’ll have this event to watch instead

Neither have I, but most if not all players attending will not be at Krakow then which will make it quite a bit less interesting honestly

It’s a good opportunity for the tier B players to get paid and compete
Can I expect my boy creator to win? Maybe asking too much

Really strong invites, makes you wonder who the 4th and last will be
Will there be any separate tickets for live event? Or is this part of SteelWorks Game Fest 2025?
I will absolutely try to attend (if I understand how to buy the tickets), it will be great if I get to meet sOs and Reynor in person again after so many years!
But I feel like the invites should not be for the world champion, it makes quite anticlimatic now, unless they announce also Serral, Classic, herO, or the only true Clem nemesis: old man Ryung.

Clem vs Raynor in the finals seems like the obvious pick, but somehow sOs is going to win it all.

Aight, on to the next one
I think [spoiler] will win because of [spoiler] they did at EWC
Didnt realise untill now the whole tourney will be played today. All day sc2, what better way to spend a sunday
They just announced on Polish stream that special envoy will pick up Clem and Reynor directly from the Airport. They are not yet at the venue. Hoping for good flight for them and great games afterwards.

Oh god, poor Elazer after that series
Awww, Skillous getting reverse sweeped so that now the three EWC guys are the top 3. Which is not unexpected, obviously.
Clem plays as Zerg - complete player 😅
Reynor with the troll builds in the finals.
Congrats to Clem for beating Reynor in 4 games, losing 6 to him, and still winning the tournament

How did those guys play a series that good after travel hell and landing in the venue basically as it started?
GGWP, and great event! Happy to hear they’re hoping to do another one
Another grand final banger between Clem and reynor

Generally I don’t actually like grand finals advantage in a properly stacked tournament all that much. I think the disadvantage of another tough series and a chance to get knocked out is sufficient.
If there’s a pretty clear gap between a couple of players and the rest, then I switch to being in favour of some kind of grand finals advantage for the upper bracket, as realistically Clem just got to have 2 shots at Reynor this one.

GG to these legit GAMERS. Zooming all over the globe cranking out solid matches.

The group of archeologists enters the sarcophagus chamber. Suddenly, the mummy raises its hand and gives them a sign to approach. One of the fellows overcomes fear and leans over the mummy. He hears it whispers: 'Does Zedd still cast tourneys?'
good stuff, ggs

This tournament is just another reason why i completely hate double elimination and winner and loser brackets. It completely eliminates upset and surprise potential. You can come up with clever builds and play your heart out against a more favoured opponent and win only to lose the rematch because your opponent can watch the replay and think with cool head how to patch the holes after the defeat..
I hope we will use more single elimination brackets in the future, unless we want to see the very same 2-3 persons winning every remaining tournament (I don't). I'm really sad that RSL is also locked into this bullshit already. 2nd season, 2nd double elim format...

Double elim is a bad format because it favors mechanics over strategy too much, which LotV as a whole already does too much.

sOs not winning a single series is quite sad... i hope he doesnt get demotivated his comeback to the scene has not been great.
