He has the initial 2 raven / 6 vikings setup which is standard, but he does not plan on playing the viking / raven war later on. Game 1 the game is longer and we see he had no intention to play raven / viking either, he has mostly marine / tanks / medivacs while Maru is researching the raven upgrades + starport infrastructure already. I should have specified late game raven / viking indeed though! Thanks! Classic is not as on point as he used to be. There was a time when I knew people who had Classic as their favourite player because he never made those kinds of mistakes + he had amazing micro.

Gumiho's reemergence as a powerhouse has the rankings for this year all kinds of fucked up. He single handedly messed up the bracket for TSL because he didnt have any EPT points for them to seed him.

I watched a lot of his matches and I honestly can't remember a match he played vT... since returning from the military... where he didn't build phoenix every game. he is very predictable to play against and I think that's mainly why the terrans manhandled him yesterday. his unit control was really clumsy too the way he held position outside of Zoun's natural and let himself get dismantled bit by bit was just bizarre. it was like WTF are you doing man, go kill him! compare his play to GuMiho, who is playing russian roulette as much as he is playing starcraft, always going for basetrades and big opportunities. that killer instinct seems missing from Classic

It left my mouth hanging open, eyes wide. Gumiho woke up yesterday and chose violence.
