so I'm doing something wrong when I defend those nat hatch block builds.. Now I know how to deal with them thanks to Time.

I can't disagree(sOs hasn't won anything in LoTV, btw) but remember that Serral(here just as the epitome of foreign sc2, don't wanna discuss his greatness or so) emerged against a healthier korean scene and that Clem's and Reynor's skill are those of top tier players who would have had great results even if there were three times as many top korean players. I don't disagree, Reynor, Serral and Clem are incredible players who would have gotten results in any era of the game. I just feel like this is not mentioned enough when people hype up how much foreigners have improved. The brackets would look differently if the korean scene was still at their peak.

So Serral had 7 more drones but you have to look at the infrastructure. Serral only had a roach warren, no bane nest, still on hatch tec. He saw Time had combat shields, stim, medivacs and a 3rd CC. So its not like he can drone up massively as he was about about to be dropped by 16 stim+combat marines so he needed to make roaches to defend. And then Time was even busy getting his 1-1 up, dunno if Serral knew about that. So all in all, the game really was over. I stand by it, I have seen players come back from worse positions Yes I have seen players throw insane games as well in all my years of watching. But as a Serral you are not going to stay in every game untill you have 5 supply left. The game was 95% over, so Serral just wanted to go to the next game. Barely any pro leaves when the game is 99.9% over.
I remember a WCS game in which Serral came back from a 80 supply deficit against HM, it was nearly unwinnable. Serral is less clutch this year and evidently more prone to tilting and early gging; while it's bad for him, it may be good for Sc2. I hope he finds his best shape in time for Katowice, by the way.

Not 'dying to roach-ravager-corruptor timing' disappointing, but close.

When the Korean pool is aging and depleting, and there are more young foreign blood than Korean blood coming into the scene... eventually foreigners will catch up.

Nah, I feel like Reynor really created a dent in Serral's mental strength this year and that shows across the board with a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes, weird build orders, tilts and miscalculations. I do believe, that getting back to offline environment will make things look different, one way or another.

Does Time always disappoint in the deciding game?

I mean did he dissapoint? Serral just played standard, finally ditched the roaches. It went to a macroish game and Serral dominated like you would expect. Maybe Time could of tried to trick him I guess

it might be this, but it might also just be stagnation. when someone hits the top, it can be tough to stay motivated to continue to find edges.. particularly in a mental game. it's easier to climb than to stay on top I guess, because those above you push you forward. just my take on it.
