Well of course, if you say it like that without the details it sounds like the time selection was actually worse for Reynor. How stupid of me! ![]()

You want to know what's my problem? Besides this was a semi-obvious joke you missed? Every time anybody said that Koreans playing late at night is disadvantageous, people came here and said that Wardi said they're fine with it. Editus> ALso can you exdplain the breaks after the game 1 and 2? (IIRC) They didn't have any sense, why did they happen? Any idea? (before anybody gets touchy about this, just asking him) (it was really meant as a joke this time, as I wrote, STats chose a build that's IMO tragic and as such he should be eliminated by any serious zerg, especially in BO5)

No. As mentioned numerous times elsewhere by numerous posters, these online events are never scheduled to the advantage of the Koreans, with the exception of King of Battles, which started at about 7pm Korean time in their group stages.

Never argue with Deacon xD He is not all there, and also is an extreme korean elitist. So you’ll always find him downplay any advantage a korean will have and be dramatic about any advantage a foreigner would have so he can keep reinforcing his beliefs!

And cases like this where a tournament schedule is so tight that things go from 9 pm to 9 am are thankfully not common.

Tournaments are primarily scheduled around their audience, fairness for the players isn't the primary concern and things get scheduled as they would be if an event was offline, even if the players are from all over the world. While it would be nice for the most affected players (not just Koreans have bad time zones for most events) to get to play an international event that starts before 9 pm their time, that'd be too big viewership losses considering where the core audiences are. And cases like this where a tournament schedule is so tight that things go from 9 pm to 9 am are thankfully not common. The start time would have been fine, if they did only one Group per day or only Bo3s. Two Bo5 Groups are just taking way to long.

Yeah, it's really not ideal. The problem is that most viewers are from NA/EU, if they would go for more Korean friendly hours (morning in EU), viewership would drop significantly. Stats did play quite well, but not to his usual level. Yesterday I thought a bit about Wardi's casting and I came to the following conclusion: It's okay. And that's meant as a huge compliment. There are casters with a "larger" personality, but Wardi is just pleasant to listen to. He narrates the game well, doesn't go for early calls too often and sticks to his strengths. He also can team up with basically anybody. And he's putting in mad hours. Still, I think it's a bit harsh to let him cast for 10 hours straight, even though he has done it before. Was there given a reason why Rotti/Demu only were hosting at the studio?
