let the dog have his day But INno played all those lol games and he now can't have a symetrical trophy shelf with just 3 GSL trophy Innovation will probably still be contending when he's in 30s anyway. he haas plenty of time Depends whether Blizzard continue to fund it for the next 4-5 years. by then Wardi Inc. will have monopoly on the pro scene anyway once Wardi figures out how to cast two tournaments at the same time, his ascent will be unstoppable

Crazy to think that this was 6 years ago. It feels like time in SC2 has been moving slower in recent years, with the player base stabilizing and pro players playing for longer. Hell, Nestea basically only had a career of 2 years in SC2, and Mvp really only played SC2 for about 3 years before injury
Back in 2010-2013, it felt like every month there was a new rising superstar.

Funny, isn't it ? Cure was just better, there is nothing wrong, the cast was really biased and so was the LR.
I mean Cure did what everyone thought he was going to do, Inno failed to respect that and and adapt and died for it.

With the development of the Wardi text-to-speech NLP bot (WardiBots), individuals will be able to purchase their own WardiBots to commentate on any game at any point in time. 5 years from now, WardiBots will also handle the vast majority of automated sports commentary with simulated twitch chat scrolling by on the right side of the screen

Nooo INno lost. Hopefully TY wins then.

Well I have to say, good job Cure for making this work. But neither of them really impressed me that much today. I feel like there was a ton of unforced weirdness and errors in these games. So I'm not really convinced Cure's gonna be able to avoid avoid TY killing all of DPG in the playoffs.

He should. I believe he is the much smarter player and has 7 games to study. How much more can Cure really come up with?
Watching game 5, it seemed like all Inno had to do was somehow stabilizing on 3 bases, and his superior positional game would win.

They've been meta for about two months now. Since the Maru vs INno match in super tournament at least People have been doing it from time to time. But it hasn't been so common that I'd expect to see both players go for it. its been a thing since you could build reapers with reactor
legend has it that one day a terran opened with 1/1/1 reactor rax, and thought, wait instead of lifting this for hellions, i can build reactored reapers
his starport finished quickly thereafter and he thought... my reapers can jump, my hellions cannot. my hellions can't be healed by a medicac, but my reapers can

BG. Don't worry, TY will sort him out
cure gonna spank ty if he can beat inno

I had feeling that Cure could make the finals ever since he whupped TY in the group stage. He was out-THINKING TY. Whataman.

BG. Don't worry, TY will sort him out cure gonna spank ty if he can beat inno Well I don't think we saw the best version of either player today and if this season of GSL has shown anything it's that if you don't bring your best version to the GSL studio TY is not going to let you get away with it.

Wow congrats Cure! That was a really cool upset. Yeah, he got lucky in a couple of games, but INno was making risky moves also, doom drops are so coin flippy.....
|
Inno threw the game on Golden Wall, why expand on the bottom when you know cure is there??? Well, unfortunate, I don't feel like watching a mirror finals without a player I enjoy rooting for...
|
A decent series, glad INno made it close but so disappointed he couldn't reach the final, hopefully he keeps working hard and wins S2
|
For me this was a pretty entertaining series, not the highest level of play, but I don't mind that. If you win 4 out of 7 maps, you deserve to win, that is pretty much it. Or the other way around: it is hard to claim that one is in principle the clearly superior player when he manages to lose 4 out of 7 maps. I believe this is gonna be a pretty sweet finals.
|
I'm very glad that Cure won! I like him and his cinderella story, he has now his chance to emulate Byun converting his online dominance into offline titles.
Also, Cure just gave us another new Code S champion, disconfessed all those who were already calling Inno the champion and saved us from the rethoric of the unstoppable god resurrected one more time.

you can almost feel people having flashbacks to ladder games they lost when they complain incoherently about players who attack before the 40 minute mark

yeah, some coments on this thread are hillarious:
- Innovations goes full greedy and doesn't gets cut -> OMG great macro play by INno GGs. - Cure scouts greediness and attacks -> gtfo you cheeser.

Great Prep from Cure, although that mech vs mech game 2 was eye opening for me (although it felt that inno had Cure's number in that game)
Couple of wild games in the middle and I felt that they were putting down Cure a little too much... dude obviously had a great game plan (and obviously a bit of luck, that hellion+reaper mirror was jokes)
Hopefully TY and Cure will be a great finals! Any time there is more Mech I am a happy man
