Really impressive play from Future. Really hope he manages to continue improving even though he doesn't think he can go full time. He actually looks like he could become Circuit Ro4 material.

That game was also proxy hatch.

Yes but as pro gamers they get to wake up relatively when they want so they might be used to go to bed pretty late after midnight so it becomes difficult to be sleepy early enough to be fresh at 4am

I think it's about the maps. Yesterday there were also almost only mirror matchups at the proleague stage. That's one way to achieve balance

Yes, yet another way of abusing cheap nydus spam.
That map is extremely difficult to get across for Terran as well, Time never got anywhere close to anything with his "pushes" and left himself open to backdoor attacks every time he tried.
|
I simply can't believe people can watch that Erik vs. Time game and come away thinking that Erik played well and not that Zerg has gigantic balance issues
How are you ever supposed to stabilize against nydus spam...there's no win condition against it. You just keep trying in futility until you get your production camped.

This is the kind of absurd victim-blaming that plagues the SC2 community.

There is a reason why the new patch is already being used in tournaments. Blizzard can be very slow to react some times.

The speedbanshee + hellion/cyclone we already saw a year ago at HSC after the big patch, was quite fun to see uThermal frustrating the zergs until they figured it out. But the counter is usually hydra/viper.

I hate the fact that a player can be use in the proleague format+in the all kill format+get a revive. It's so hard to ask a team to beat a top player two times.

I am pretty much sure he did everything to postpone the ending of the game to the max, so then he could write on his community page that he did everythin right and played a good-close macro game but was somehow unfortunate. Yesterday after his loss vs NoRegret he made a post that Russia lost to Canada even though SkiLLous won 3 in a row and could do a reverse-sweep. He does not care about Russian performance, only about how he looks to his community

Even if they face Germany, there is extremely little hope that Showtime, Heromarine and Showtime won't be able to defeat Scarlett twice, Germany winning 4-0 is more likely than Canada advancing.

I think Germany is their worst matchup possible, I'd say Korea is the weakest and Finland would be better than Germany too. I think Scarlett has a better chance of going 2-1 vs Serral then 4-1 against team germany

Fairest server? 200-300ms lag for Chinese players. I imagine it's only 30-40ms for the Mexican players? And what server options are they given?

Absolute bonkers, Soul vs Goblin.

Goblin's composition was a bit questionable after the DTs singlehandedly saved the game for him.

is Elazer drunk? misplaced hatchery, then starts attacking his own extractor with queens instead of the phxes, then doesnt heal the queen with 4 high energy queens being right next to it.... wtf?
And yeah, he doenst research ovie speed. Versus goblin... twice in a row...

Welp. That was a huge blunder. Goblin was moderately close to getting into the 'beat ultra lategame zerg on the current patch' club.

Goblin should have won that by all means, to be honest, despite zerg imba

Man, goblin got so many unexpectedly decent fights until the last one which was horrible.

not to take away anything from goblin and drogo, but Elazer is playing very sloppily today

France is very good and has a well-rounded team, but they don't have a player of the caliber of Neeb and that has shown to be the biggest asset to a team, even in a mixed format.
IMO: KR > FIN > GER > MEX = USA = ITA > FRA > CAN

Now he’s just a better player than France’s boys but not a whole other level above like Serral would be.
I quite fancy France’s chances. Clem has really good vP from what I’ve seen and Marinelord is no slouch plus has practiced a lot on this patch.
This patch may end up with Protoss being fine vT, but I think initially they’re going to struggle a lot.
The current meta if we’re not cheesing is a really greedy third and powering hard. Neeb is even greedier than most in this respect and I’m not sure the charge nerf specifically will allow us to be that greedy and it’ll take time to work out.
I’m sure many of us have seen plenty of games where the Protoss barely, barely holds the initial big Terran push. I don’t think we hold those on the upcoming patch so we’ll have to work out where the greed/safety line is and I’m not sure we will have figured that out by the time the patch hits.

Maybe I'm just being a homer but I do think Neeb is on a completely different level especially now that he got back his legendary lategame PvZ.
I think Neeb will be fine against any Terran except a Korean one, even with the dumb chargelot nerf, and the only way he'll run into one of those is if America makes it to the finals. Well, Special might be dangerous as well since he will probably be among the first to find away to be abusive with the new patch lol.
Thank FLASH that the ro8 will be played on the new patch though. Neeb is more than capable of beating Serral as long as lategame is not auto win for Zerg.

You think Germany is stronger Korea and Finland?

Yeah. On the one hand, it is sad that one of the countries with an actual team (Germany and France) is guaranteed to be eliminated and another is the under dog (Mexico), but USA is probably the #2 group finisher with the best chance of taking down Finland and Canada being sacrificed to South Korea means that Mexico and France aren't. Yeah, Canada looks like the weakest Team in Ro8 by far, so having them as a sacrifical lamb for Korea is kind of fitting. Looks like realy tough way ahead for Germany Lambo said on stream he d prefer Can>USA>Fra, so in his eyes this is the hardest opponent.. . Lambo just sticking up for the EU scene haha France is very good and has a well-rounded team, but they don't have a player of the caliber of Neeb and that has shown to be the biggest asset to a team, even in a mixed format. IMO: KR > FIN > GER > MEX = USA = ITA > FRA > CAN * I'd say Mexico, the US and Italy are all about the same power level but if I had to choose that would be the order of strongest to weakest I would put ITA before MEX and USA because of the single fact that Reynor plays Zerg and Special and Neeb don't Ro8 is on the new patch allready, so that s probably not true anymore. But I would still rate Mexico below USA and ITA. The question is, how good are MLord and Clem be after the patch? Especially Clem has been crushing it and I would consider him the strongest french player right now, up there with foreigner Terrans like Special, Big Gabe and Time Oh. So when is the Ro8 exactly? Ro8 starts at the 30th of November. The Patch hits at the 26th. (or at HSC, for tournaments)

I don't consider Finland a real team since only Serral is competitive. On the more balanced patch, Serral is probably mortal and you can prepare only against him whereas Germany has 2 blizzcon caliber players and a good player, with all three races. South Korea is usually stronger than Germany, but since it's online with lag and potentially bad hours for Korea again, I'd say Germany is more difficult than the weakened South Korea.

On the more balanced patch, Serral is probably mortal
This is one of the big question. Serral is not afraid of going for big attacks if he smells blood, he just might have to do it some more if the lategame plan is not as reliable.

Hoping for an inno masterclass in the playoffs

The real story of Nation Wars so far is that both Terran and Protoss currently have win percentages above 50 over Zerg, and that's even with Scarlett's, Serral's, and Reynor's all-kills. We gotta roll these Zerg nerfs back ASAP.
