Technically speaking, the foreigners had to travel to Korea first and so are dealing with 2 time zone crossovers which is significantly harder to deal with, plus Koreans got to play Ro16 in their own country.

Well, yeah, it was the GomTVT era, which scarred me for life, and made me quit SC2 even before Hots came out. And GOM tourneys werent even the worst, there wee the weekly european cups that literally ended up 14-16 terrans in ro16 most times, at least a few of them having under 100 apm, and yet people still claimed it's just due to skill difference, and more ppl picking terrans due to WOL having Terran campaign and stuff....

After Wol (the game was not well balanced), when Terran can be such dominating (maybe a short period when Raven is op)? Even in 2016 when ByuN won the Blizzcon, only 2 terrans are in top 8, and the final was 4-2 against dark.
Conventional wisdom says that Winter's Gate is good for Protoss, and World of Sleepers is good for Zerg, but somehow tournament results are the complete opposite.

I'm playing and following the game since the beta. Terran never dominated the game in all regions so convincingly. And people always complained about balance. So no.
