Pretty excited about this event. Finally got around to attending one of these live.
Super hyped, last year’s Montreal was a blast and was where Reynor and Time made their breakout performances. Hoping for lots of strong challengers to Serral again this year.
Last year's Montreal tournament was indeed awesome. Especially Reynor vs Serral but the Serral vs Scarlett and Lambo were awesome as well. Great ZvZ's that tournament.
I think one of the most exciting thing is going to be: Will Elazer or Scarlett make it to Blizzcon? After that, I hope TIME delivers and maaaybe we won't get a ZvZ final. I'd say it's possible, especially if TIME meets Reynor in knockout bracket.
Will the official stream start with GS 1 or enter later?
I hope that somehow, Drogo manages to qualify, that said, the final 8 are totally deserving and I would be fine if the ranking stays this way.

The official stream will start with GS 2.

Hastem just lost to a proxy 4-gate zealot, which one gate just next to his own gate.

Sorry that this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm not sure where else to post it: Has anyone else had troubles with the stream lists on TL not updating? Right now it's showing me that Kas and Catz are streaming with the same viewer counts as they were last night (they are not streaming right now) and the majority of the streams listed for this tournament are showing 0 viewers - some of them are offline for me when I click on them. This is the 2nd time in the last couple of weeks I've seen this issue, and restarting my computer/clearing my cache doesn't fix it. When I visit TL on my phone I also have the same problem.
It's not just you. They're not updating. First time I'm seeing this.
Super excited for the event! This’ll be my 4th DHMTL I’m attending so hoping for some hype games!
Let’s go Neeb and Mcanning!

Haha what... how did Caerwyn manage to lose that game against Rob.

Yes, there was a similar problem in the players' live stream section lately.
I always forget, at which point do the players qualified via Challenger enter the tournament?
e: ok, group stage 3, it actually says so in the OP.
23 out of 24 Europeans make it to Group Stage #2. The combobreaker honour goes to Probe.
Edit: correction, 23 out of 25, I was blind and didn't count VitamiN

Sheesh the main stream started an hour ago and not a single game played yet.

Stephano losing because he didn't go BL infestor is peak irony
such a nice style by uThermal
On September 07 2019 06:06 Waxangel wrote: Stephano losing because he didn't go BL infestor is peak irony Best part of the game though was 2 random tanks rallying on top of the infestors, getting attacked by lings which then triggered friendly fire from even more tanks which then killed like a 3rd of the infestors.

Is the caster sound on main stream slightly weird or am I just imagining it because it's an NA event and NASL sound guy has to show up eventually?

I think it's just you're imagination. So while you're at it you might as well imagine a terran solution for blord/infestor

Stephano is remebered as an infe/BL abuser but he is one of the guy who made Ultras look good in 2011
uThermal bringing back a TY build from 2016 hot damn.
Okay well questionable execution
This series is fun. And quite foreigner-like
Somehow no on-stage map complaints from uThermal. Not living up to his Twitter game.

I bet they force players to offensive handshake just to piss off Swedes
We need a smaller map pool (as in smaller maps not fewer), seeing virtually every single game go this long and play out the same way is getting old.
Stephano won 2 zvz in a row in order to get out of his group, amazing :p
If Silky wins that game they should just stop showing their bo3. and start with group stage 3 instead.
That's really terrible to watch and it's not just the meta's fault, shadown passivity is frustrating.

players already playing in gs3 and groups have not yet been released... meh
That Scarlett vs Elazer game had a great ending!
Neeb in an all P group LOL
Hm, Elazer beating Scarlett is kind of big, even if it is only the first game of the group.
Papi, Kela and Chammy in the same group wtf!
StephanOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO So happy !
Elazer getting out his group in first place all but guarantees he makes it to the Global Finals unless someone comes out of nowhere to win this event, right?

Yep
Edit nvm I can't count for shit, Scarlett-Drogo-Masa getting second or Scarlett top 4 would knock him out (unless showtime does worst than him)

If he loses and drogo gets in 1/2, I think he drops.
Unless Heromarine channels Maru, TY, and INnoVation simultaneously, I don't think he wins this game.
I don't know why Zerg players don't get burrow for situations like this. Yeah, Heromarine could scan to find the drones, but that's an extra level of attention which isn't always available.
Everytime i see banes vs probes i want the unit removed vs workers
I get that Lambo didn't have many options, but I have no idea why he thought THAT was the fight to take. Pushing Broodlords into Thors...
uThermal takes revenge over Kela 2-1
Wow new EMP is insane lol.
that was actually a sick game by masa
getting knocked out by has and hellraiser must suck so fucking much

Stephano > Reynor > Serral. In terms of active players, Stephano is still the best foreigner of all time. If we counted retired players, the best foreigner is Jinro. Still to this day, no foreigner has reached round of 4 in the main GSL circuits two seasons in a row. Serral has nothing on Stephano.

How is saying that Jinro is the best foreigner of all time "bait"? Has Serral ever even tried playing in the main GSL seasons? From what I know, Jinro has, and made round of 4 twice. Even Naniwa went a decent amount. Those two players are gone, so the only good one left is Stephano. You should not discount past achievements just because you are biased towards a certain player. I'm just being objective. Yes, if I was emotional I would say Serral was the best player. But there's nothing wrong with being the 3rd best foreigner

Hahah incredibly low tier bait! Tell me, how many tournaments did Jinro win? Only Code S exists, right?
