This one should be pretty clear cut. I don't see Keen or Creator as big 'upset' guys. Solid against others their level, but they play a very standard style of starcraft which is less likely to take down players who are simply more skilled than them.
Innovation and Classic should be able to advance comfortably here.

KeeN and Creator are each one of the least standard players of their races
Good thing that there's no Zerg in this group. Like this KeeN won't need to hide builds in preparation for the games he'll have to play on Scrap Station and Steppes of War against Ragnarok later tonight.

Umm no they play pretty standard.
they absolutely don't. KeeN plays mech more than bio. Creator does crazy builds

Mech has become pretty standard these days. Battle mech is crazy popular.
TvT in the GSL remains super unpredictable. It like doesn't matter how strong the Terrans are in other match ups, when it comes time for TvT there is outrageous levels of parity.
Creator beating Classic is even more suprising, but then again he's always been a good PvP player.
also don't think tastosis highlighted enough that classic was on like 57 probes for that zealot timing, it was super allin against a very awkward point in the mech transition, almost like classic knew the build

yeah that was pretty interesting his probe count. I think inno might have had better chance if his army was more spread out.

Not sure if that would save INno at this point.
yeah too many other people around his points. he'd need to win super tournament while people near him drop the ball but as it stands he has 0.1% chance of making Blizzcon.
Although I'm rooting for Stats now, as long as anyone besides Maru wins, it's ok by me. Not that I dislike Maru but winning 5/6 GSLs is too insane.

Well, they showed how crushed he was with the shot of Creator after the gg.
I think I'm bad luck for Creator. He used to annoy me so much when I rooted against him in teamleagues and as soon as I started hoping he would win he became this extreme choker.

Right?
IKR. I was expecting the favorites, then Keen outplayed Inno. Gave us a 2-1 over Creator in the winners, ChinToss awakening after that loss vs Creator and advances.
If there are people who voted Keen and Classic then congrats. A lot of us are at 1/2 for this group.

Creator has been awful for 6 straight years, surely at this point all of your hopes have vanished?

To be honest it doesn't bother me much. He's not even among my top ten favorite players. I just find it kinda funny. Almost makes me surprised he still plays.

My original idea was to go for Classic and Keen(that's what I voted in the poll), but ultimately I didn't get myself to vote against Inno here, I'm glad there is no money on the line.
This could be herO's last chanche to win a Code S title, I root for him!
To put this into perspective by the way, if Dear wins 3 series this GSL or GuMiho wins 4, INnoVation is out of Blizzcon even if he wins the Super Tournament.

Keen played fantastic. Good, solid decision-making and extremely active movements on the map. He basically won by playing great which is the best way to watch upsets happening.

Well INno doesn't look like he's gonna win Super Tournament and tbh I'm fine seeing the best performing players at Blizzcon which might mean that TY can do it. I hope he does it. Must suck for big INno fans though, I didn't expect him to bomb out today.

Oh wow, it's the first time?
Yeah it's only ever been not in Code S or Ro16+ for Inno.
And he only missed out on Code S three times out of which 2 times were because he had an incredibly hard path to qualify (1 time bo5 against Dark and 1 time Code A group with herO and Zest)

Inno could very well win Super Tournament, it's two months and half away; his presence to BlizzCon is less likely considering there are at least two or three players other than Dear who could earn a worrying amount of WCS points during the current Code S season.

He was just out of shape every time. He missed 2 GSLs in 2016 when he was by his own admission playing way more League than SC2.

Well anyone outside the top 8 winning GSL would just destroy Inno's chances (I guess the best looking non-top 8 player so far was TY?), but Dear winning 3 best of 3 matches is the fastest way for it to be confirmed.
Actually I suppose there is the chance of Classic having to forfeit Blizzcon and #9 being enough to qualify. Sad as that would be.

If I recall correctly at the time ZvT in GSL was borderline unwinnable and Dark was the only Zerg who could do anything at all against top Terrans.

That would be very sick but the results have not yet been entered. Would be 12/12 if that was the case. But there's just no way anybody is flawless after today.
