I think you made a mistake,it's herO,not HerO.

Yeah TLPD-ize does that, it still defaults to HerO when parsing the name.

Awesome, thanks for the info!
Do you have the Challenger brackets yet, or do we need to wait for the broadcast?

Wow that a great line up!

I understand they are probably not in contact with European players, but I do wish to see some EU&NA players like Serral, Neeb and Reynor.

it's an online tournament on KR server, there may be some net problems if they invite EU&NA players.

OK that's a perfect explanation. Thanks.

Going to do my best to do an English stream when possible

Maru is not playing? He was in the previous season.

Will there be any matches played offline like last year?

Not this season.

Is this only streamed on the Scboy chan? It's so annoying with all those ad overlays

Next season may be offline.

Well, they don't post the ads they don't receive sponsor's money, and we won't even have a chance to complain
|
Have asked to get replays to provide an Eng cast of the games on Wed/Thurs hopefully

The ad overlays are posted by stream sites, not the streamer. We have already been tired of complaining about that.

It has to be noted that Ragnarok's ZvP is the matchup that drags him down, in a Protoss free tournament Ragnarok in 2019 could be a Code S champion.

PartinG was runner-up last Coliseum, TY top 4. They get put into Challenger and face qualification matches while other players simply get a pass because they are who they are. Never change, China..

they'll tell you the rules they invite ppl, if you ask the host.
don't just think things should happen as you imagine or its something special treated.

Elentos is just showing frustration at how, as usual, invites to Chinese tournaments are primarily a popularity contest.

If the sole criterion is "whomever you want," then we got pretty lucky with this set of invited players. The distribution of race or skill could've been much worse.
|
Their first priority is popularity. Among Chinese fans, Zest, soO and INnoVation simply have the highest popularity in each race. Chinese casters invite them whenever possible.
Second priority is about who they can reach to. As far as I know, Maru and Dark are outside the list either because they rejected this event, or they had rejected or even fortified Chinese events before.
Third would be the how each player actually plays in his race. Classic's winning the super tournament gives him a free ticket, Gumiho outplays TY in recent tournaments, and Solar is awarded for his near perfect play in China Team Championship 2019 Season 1.
Last two tickets are given to "please" potential korean players so that they may consider joining the Chinese team tournaments. That's how Stats and Rogue are invited as well.
Let's simply appreciate the fact that none of the Chinese players gets a free pass. I was expecting TIME to be exempted from challenger matches, but now he still needs to fight his way to the RO16.

People seem to forget that invites used to be MUCH worse and random back in early Kung Fu Cup days.
|
Ha ha, what is it with Scarlett and eating epic nukes
Couldn't be the white noise this time.
|
Game 4 between herO and TY is a good representation of why playing TvP late game when you're even is a waste of time. Now it looks like the classic TY reverse sweep.
|
herO did not look good at all in the process of this reverse sweep but a win is a win I guess. Shame we had to have herO vs TY instead of both qualifying. There were enough easy opponents available, after all

It's a pity TY and Ragnarok won't play this tournament.

Rag’s just destroyed by Nice's immortal push and macro. No cheese.

Oh, Nice almost certainly deserved to advance but he is an opponent Ragnarok can overcome, and I would have liked to see more from him.

Hey, will be broadcasting the "best matches" so far in English tomorrow from ~1/2pm CEST

With respect, why do not you hold a better, fairer, opener tournament? Talk is cheap, show your code.

Years ago. SCBOY hired Byun as a mercenary of X-team to win StarCraft League 2015. SCBOY tried to offer a longer-term contract to Byun. Maybe because of poor communication, no happy ending or peaceful breakup. Byun left and won WCS.

In certain Kung Fu Cup, Byun won the qualifier. Then they invited SOO or somebody else.

TY then got replaced by soO instead of ByuN (who was 2nd in the qualifier). That's not that far back, then.
