Yeah, Serral proved him wrong in the end, but I think at the time Maru sincerely believed that. It could be that Trap looks great in practice and something still doesn't quite make it to the stage. Or it could be that Maru thought that Classic looked good on prep vs Dark, but didn't necessarily look like "the better player" (Dark has a way of looking amazing while losing, doesn't he?). Or maybe some other things, I don't know. He was probably being polite/supportive also, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a good dose of sincerity mixed in. | ||

Evidence of this was the camera pan to Rogue’s face when Maru said that he was better than Serral, and Rogue had this embarrassed, nervous and startled look as if he was just caught in a lie. | ||

just read the thread but its mindblowing how people think they know better, not just in this context of someone talking trash about one of the greatest sc2 players of all time, but in general. yes, good thing this guy isn't maru's coach. who knows, maybe this poster is a top GM, but somehow doubt that | ||
