Maru has been proxying almost everybody for years. And he still wins games with it.

I'm not saying it isn't effective. Life did the same thing with roach-ling allins for years too. Although I consider Maru's 2-rax to be more abusive.

Yeah feels like he takes his time to explain everything that was said. Usual translators shorten everything to few sentences.

embarrassing for whom? if you mean embarrassing for the metagame, maybe a little bit? people have different opinions on cheesy builds being used constantly. but if you mean embarrassing for maru, certainly not at all, not ever

neeb look really solid in PvZ, idk what's going with Maru losing that 2/1/1 game vs Reynor, getting the goat award seems to be getting out of reach for him a little bit.

one reason y maru is proxying so often is, that he has superior micro+multitasking to pretty much everyone. to a lot of players he can only loose by getting blindsided by something. so why take that risk? as long as he can dictate the game he's fine. for sure not the most exciting way, but he's a pro.

2/1/1 isn't a great build, not anymore anyway. Maru beat Rogue with it last season and that's the last I've seen it do much.

Besides it doesn't really matter when you win the match overall. Maru played sloppily against Keen, Zanster, Patience etc in groups earlier in the year, but he still gets the trophy at the end.

Not really sure why some people counted Neeb out of this group. Not craazy unexpected results.. Maru definitely looked vulnerable against Reynor, but we'll see how he does in Ro8. Hoping for Maru vs Stats and sOs vs Neeb personally.
