the best player in the upper bracket is worse than the worst player in the lower bracket...

It was drawn with 1st place vs 2nd place, and players in the same group on opposite of bracket.

So 1 of the 2-3 possible opponents were drawn randomly for each player coming out in first?

really ths is so lame... The upper bracket is so so so weak compared to the top bracket, they don't even try to make it equal

If they tried to make it equal, that's rigging the bracket. Is it really a sc2 tournament if the draw isn't completely terrible?

But does it have to be that bad... does the three best players have to be in the same bracket while 2 foreigner and one of the worst korean have the upper... Worst bracket ever I think.

That's my guess on how this unfolds.

Little mistake, friend, soO can't be in semis if he looses to Gumi in ro8

Guaranteed 1 sided finals
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

1st place are seeded first. Second place after. Players in same groups can't be on the same side of the bracket. Turned out soO was placed second in top bracket so the matchups were special vs either elazer or gumiho

Am I completely wrong in my thought that the camera on the guy opening the eggs went away when he was "pulling" Elazer?

Yeah first draw all players finishing first, then draw the 1 out of 2 possible opponents. Like usual.

And it gets tiresome how whiny people are about bracket draws. Blizzard would have to rig brackets to make people here happy.

One bowl with all winners, drawn first. One bowl with Elazer and GuMiho to draw top side of bracket since they are the only ones that can be there. One bowl with Rogue and TY, drawn after breaking the balls a few time and switching to new balls.

I present to you Germany's road to the final of the football world championships 2002:

Group stage
vs. Saudi-Arabia 8:0
vs. Ireland 1:1
vs. Cameroon 2:0

Elimination bracket
vs. Paraguay 1:0
vs. USA 1:0
vs. South Korea 1:0

Germany's team back then mostly consisted of some of the worst players, who've ever made it to the national team plus some excpetional heroes like Kahn and Ballack. Talk about bracket luck and "rigged brackets" again.

Special beat two of the best players of the world to reach the RO8. Him getting first made it more likely to being matched against another foreigner. No big deal.
first we make expand, then we defense it.

Watching Elazer and Special basically cry in happiness when they were drawn together was hilarious as well

its just disappointing to have the top 3 players all on one side of the bracket

I know right, why aren't these players seeded straight into the finals so we don't have to deal with this garbage?

2002 was a shit show with quite a special way of refereing, but yea germany in the final was like an absolute miracle

it happens 1 time - maybe luck.
But that 2 years in a row the bracket guarantees 1 foreigner in the ro4 makes me slightly suspicious.
