Showtime is fucking dead, by the way.

I think it only works against 2 base terran, especially tank pushes. Otherwise they just mass mines, hit later and your army melts

Byun just 3-0ed Showtime yesterday, you shouldn't expect too much.

I mean, I've watched every major foreign event of the past couple years minus the two mentioned and I guess a HSC here and there, plus a solid amount of the qualifiers. It's a pretty ridiculous statement. It's not that ridiculous when you call the player who occupied the #1 and #3 spot on the EU ladder for months "just good". Ladder spots don't win you tournaments, and outside of Jonkoping, Serral doesn't have a single top 4 finish in his entire career. He's a good, talented player, I was just saying how I don't know if he can make the step from 'contender' to 'favorite'. Lambo's above Elazer and TRUE on the EU Ladder, but I don't think that makes him the favorite over those two in a tournament setting, y'know? Funnily enough, Serral fell off the #1 ladder spot when Elazer finished school and took it . And yes, Elazer was a favorite to win both previous WCS events (where he lost to Neeb by 1 map in Jonkoping and choked vs TRUE in Valencia, reminder that Serral had the best ZvZ record outside Korea (outside soO, to be precise) prior to that event) but eh, I guess he wasn't one of the 2 players who won those tournaments so he isn't a favorite despite being mentioned as the favorite for each and every of those and feared by every single player who isn't Terran? who isn't a Terran in Korea*

It's not like I never encounter tank pushes on the ladder, especially since I exclusively play 2 base colossi and some people tend to remind it

I just don't personally see him as a favorite, I guess. He might've taken a step forward this year, but as far as I've seen, he's always been a good-but-not-fantastic player with a lot of potential. Maybe he took a real step forward, but even then, the loss to uThermal and loss to TRUE show that something intangible is still missing. Still, not having watched Jonkoping probably makes me underrate Serral, which is unfortunate. Hopefully he shows up big sometime soon so I stop doubting him.

Congratulations to the Dutch Terran.
I didnt believe he stood a chance straight up against Serral without abusing Reapers
But looks like I was proven wrong
