It always depends on which opponents they are playing.
In WESG when Maru/TY were stomping over everyone it's of course a valid thing to say that it's just them being gods compared to the other players.
Inno vs Dark is No 1 terran vs No 1 Zerg which should be 50/50 in an ideal world but the game shouldn't be balanced around the top 1 players because otherwise a superior player wouldn't get rewarded for his skills. Imagine BW being balanced around Flash for example, it would be just unfair because Flash was just better than the top players from the other races.
If Maru/Inno/TY and Byun would all stomp over Dark then I'd agree with you.

I think top 6 players in the world are soO, stats, dark, innovation, pilipili, and byun and there's no debate about that. Only question is if Maru is up there as well

He is looking pretty solid today, more than I expected. Not Inno-level of course but still good.
