Reminder that the LotV 1-1-1 mostly works because photon overcharge was moved away from the nexus, while this change made other Terran cheese/all-in/pressure builds a lot worse

What I don't get is that yes, it was obvious Dear skipped on upgrades to mass units and kill him, failed when his push met a fortified position. But why would a 1-1, nearly 2-2 equal army supply Dear still had the edge until 4 upgrades up and poor positioning. Adepts were far too valuable for the drops where matched they were barely dealt with and at the front threatening.

I'm pretty sure it's just not part of the build for a while. It looked like the build Trust did against INnoVation in Proleague on Monday, which got a warp prism before the mothership core.

Its not like im for removing cheese from this game or anything, but there are several points from the Terran side in TvP which are ridiculous to me:
- DTs / requirements to produce a fucking raven (also gas cost..)
- Prism pick up from range is extremely strong and sometimes leaves u without counterplay (u need a viking since ur ground units will never be able to be in range of the prism when it just wants to pickup)
- Adept shade cancelbility. U need 2 armies (in both mineral lines) that can beat the adepts in ur base since u cannot tell if the shade is going to be finished or cancelled
- Adepts+Prism + Pylon overcharge allows for defense while having a unit count that normally would be way too low.
Im not saying nerf all these things without making up for them. Like buff gateway units (other than adept) or do something else to make Protoss not need all those stupid things

Look at the tournament winners for the last few years and you'll see why. It didn't help that certain mediocre terran players switched to protoss and became world beaters after 2 months.

Of course Protoss has more bullshit things than other races (shit i personally wrote The Great Book...), but the community can't tell the difference between a good read and an abusive game so all they are left with is flaming one third of the players.
Take the Dusk Towers game. Dear's read was "ok my all-in has done enough damage for me to transition, but not enough to end the game. He's forced into a very defensive position and a late stim, but he has 3CCs so he'll probably gear up for a push once his army stabilizes in a few minutes, before that i don't have much to fear. I can't catch up in both economy and upgrades, and if i invest in upgrades my economy is too shit to produce enough units, but i can definitely double expand safely, my main is mining out anyway so i need that 4th. I'll just skip forges, get a massive low tech army and crush him when he moves out to try to kill my 3rd or take his 4th", which is actually a pretty good read. The thread's comments were "lol adept allin into double expand lol protoss bullshit lol".
It's incredlby toxic, especially having to mod the forum and seeing balance whining essentially only thrown at one race.

That's why liberators and ghosts counter adepts. Liberators are piloted by women and ghosts can be female.
