I don't know how is it in your socio-geographic circle, but among my friends, a beard is an extremely rare thing. Yeah, but who decides what is the "definition" of anything (outside mathematics)? Words mean just what people want them to mean, no "higher authority" is ever gonna change that. Then we have to accept that those meaning can be different across the globe - in particular as I live in a non-english-speaking country (although we just use the word "hipster" as it is for a lack of Czech equivalent).

Anyway, now would be the time to include a glorious Czech punk music video about what is the real sign of punk, but alas, the language barrier makes it vain ...
