Strange had to know the draw conditions and know that a timer was on his ass. He was indecisive, thus a draw took place. All there is to it! I believe that the stalemate conditions are the same for any game of Starcraft, whether custom or on ladder. Well I'd say not actually. Tournament games are different than ladder games. Example: Proleague. You have a lot of additional ruling which can decide the outcome of the game. Forgot to set your hotkeys? Didin't wrote "ppp" before pausing ? You can get DQ which does not happen during oridinary ladder games. So I'd say Tournamet games =/= Ladder games

It's a big WCS tournament which will seed the winner directly into blizzcon. So from that standpoint it's a pretty big deal.

Pretty much. This year there is no WCS league anymore, there are only wcs tournaments and three of them are the big ones who give a direct seed to blizzcon.
