...this is really difficult to predict imo: TY's TvT looked good lately with his insane multitasking but I wouldn't underestimate Cure that seemed in good shape in this GSL, even if he did not met any T really... moreover, TY practiced with SpeeD and jjakji (great players but def not at their peak atm), while Cure practiced with Maru (in IDDQD mode right now) and this can make him step up even more... ...I'd probably go with TY but I'd not be surprised by a possible upset...
Go Cure Go! Cure is a beast, when Rogue was saying, Cure beats all other team members in practice, I guess that included Maru. I expect Cure be the master of "standard games", I am sure, sOs could cheese him out, as MyungSiK did in the finals. Definitely good matches!
I am so sad that we don't have Cure vs. ByuN. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of KeSPA joke Well, then I have to stick with Harry Potter and the Goblet of GSL
Haha, yeah lets go Jin Air!! Cure always had the talent but went on a major slump at the end of HOTS. Glad he is back in LOTV for this GSL, always been a solid looking player like Maru.
Would favor Cure here just on basis of being able to practice TvT vs Maru who has looked good in TvT, at least in his Pro League outings. Still it is a semi final, anything can happen!

Cure has so many advantages right now. Mainly TY had to show his TvT in the quarter finals, whereas Cure's last TvT was pretty long ago. Also Training partners. Honestly I think I'll give the edge to Cure.

Cure was ahead for most of the game. Then Cure split top side of the map for no reason despite him taking the "wrong" 4th and having no turrets in main. After that Ty just went for the easiest drop of his life and got ahead. Then he did the same mistake again and lost the game. This wasn't Ty playing well. This was Cure making diamond-level decision making. Cure's mechanics seemed great though.

I don't know about this "I am gonna sucide 40 marines" within 1 minute playstyle of Ty. Makes him extremely vulnerable and completely gives up map control.
Marines mean nothing in TvT now though, it all about medivacs and tanks, the one with the most of those win's the game. Sacking Marinese this late in a game is fine, early on it is more costly (See Bomber in pro league sacking 25 marinese for 1 tank at 6 min mark)

Cure plays like there is no threat of a counterattack. He needs to position his army so they actually protect against half of Ty's forces attacking his right bottom expansions.
It seems to me that Cure simply gets too impatient and feels like he needs to "allin"/do damage when in reality he could be even by just playing it safer and slower and looking for the small edges.
TY in both games got ahead in the early game, despite Cure setting himself up so defensively. I wanna see Cure stop those things for a change pls T.T ^^

Cure just fucked up his defenses in game 1. Could simply had killed Medivacs with his 3 vikings since there were only 2 marines defending it. Also he was a bit unlucky with the viking positioning. But the builds weren't the same at all so not sure why you would compare G1 to G2.

well yeah, was kinda bad luck that the vikings were out of position. Otherwise he's kinda playing fine I think. Maybe a bit too volatile of a playstyle so far.

If you want to go to the GSL final you should stop being lucky.

Ehm, this implies to me that Cure got into RO4 because he's lucky. Which is stupid.
I really do not get how Cure cannot be prepared for a nonstop harass of Banshees, for a pressure builds and other aggressive things when he lives with one of the most aggressive Terran players in the last years, also one of the best.
If this is nerves issue then they really need to invest in some good psychologist. Damn, this was disappointing, was expecting TY to win, but not like this.

because he didn't see the proxy starport. Also no one expects the guy who doesn't end games to do that kind of stuff. Especially because non-stop-banshee isn't really a thing. Or at least wasn't until today. At least as far as I know.

Maru was doing this the whole fucking HotS. nonstop banshee production. No one cares about the initial banshees, ok, proxied, did damage. But the continuous damage was surprising, HotS isn't that much ago for Cure to forget the defense vs. Maru's banshees.

HotS was decades ago when you play something that you don't expect at all from your opponent. Your mind is so occupied with all the other shit you have to keep track of, that something you don't expect at all can throw you off a lot. I'm sure if you give Cure like 10 seconds to breathe and think about the game he'd identify what's happening and then recall how to defend it properly. That's not how SC2 works though

No, SC2 is mostly about muscle memory and when he saw 3rd or 4th banshee his muscle memory of years training with Maru should have kicked in.
Also he should have been better prepared against pressure build and multitasking.
This is, IMO, nerves issue. He's like MKP in finals.

He can lose to Trap. That means he can lose to both Zest and Dear.
Anyone can lose to a protoss. Just simply too much stuff you cannot predict against toss. Absolutely everyone showed sudden weaknesses when it came to toss. Flash, TY, Innovation, Maru..

Sure. Most SPL wins 2013, one of the most 2014. Mediocre. By the end of his carrer he completely destroyed players like maru. He must be trash... And yeah, how about the others? Typical flame comment to annoy ppl.
Before the match, I thought Cure's blurb seemed rather pathetic.
After the match, I know now it was closer to prophetic.
I didn't know what to write for him honestly. I can't recall anything interesting from his interviews, or tweets, or fans' opinions on him... So I took the easy path of "what casters say about this guy" and Artosis saved me once again :D
If Zest wins and it's KT vs KT i don't think i can decide who to cheer for haha. Zest is overall the better player and simply is championship calibre. TY was/is the guy with a lot of potential though, it would be nice if he finally wins the big thing.. Decisions..

Even I am conflicted. You know I'm the biggest Zest fangirl around here, but I fear that TY won't reach another finals in a long time...

Yeah, he's as close to what one may call a face-less Korean. Sad but true.
Good thing he lost. TL writers and contributors would have had a hard time hyping him up for the finals!
KT v KT finals would be awesome, regardless of the risk of team-kill silliness - the hype alone is worth it! Dear coming through is still okay-ish - the return of the lost son of Aiur!

Yeah this realistically could be the only chance he will ever get. On the other hand with only 4 korean starleagues a year this is important for Zest as well^^

It's not a flame comment. In Flash standards and expectations, Flash had a very mediocre SC2 career.
I think this is one of the most win/win/win finals in the history of GSL. TY as champion would be vindication for all his hard work. Zest would be the reclamation of his throne. Dear would be the announcement of his return after a long absence at the top. I'm very excited!
