Hehe :-) A very improbable bracket :-) I am starting to like the sOs vs. Life idea ... but Inno is too difficult ...

I don't even know who wrote it, but I am still waiting for him to come out and acknowledge how wrong he was. The whole premise turned out to be false and thus the article was nothing but baseless dismissal of the pre-Kespa SC2 players that turned out to be completely undeserved.

These are the top 16's results in HoTS: ![]() Some observations: - Life has the most top 4 finishes by a small margin over herO and Polt. - Classic is the only one to have 100% finals record. - ByuL and Dream are the only ones to make a final and not win one. - Perhaps unsurprisingly Life closely followed by herO have the most tournament wins in HoTS with 6&5 respectively. - Zest and Polt are the only ones to win 3 premier events in one year, 2014 (Zest) and 2013 (Polt). - Rogue and FanTaSy have achieved very little in comparison with the rest only making 1 3rd/4th place finish in HoTS each. - Also soO is the only player to win a Korean event this year and not make Blizzcon.

The whole premise turned out to be false and thus the article was nothing but baseless dismissal of the pre-Kespa SC2 players that turned out to be completely undeserved. It was clear even in 2011 that there was a pattern of BW champions being too burnt out to do well in SC2. Nada is younger than NesTea, but NesTea was an underperforming strategic player who had an opportunity for a fresh start while Nada had already seen a ton of success and was likely less motivated. Even the argument that Nada wasn't that good in 2010 doesn't hold water, he was still above NesTea and B-teamers like MarineKing, just check TLPD. And in 2009 he made a deep MSL run, skill doesn't completely vanish in a year. Also July got 4th place in the last ever GOMTV BW league, he wasn't completely washed up either at 24 when the article was written. Yes he made an SC2 finals unlike Nada, but he had a much worse SC2 career than people who were worse than him at BW. My point is the article was already wrong when it was written, Nada and July would have been above MKP and Nestea and MC if it was right.

It can't be false if it is true though. Elephants dominate everyone.
