I turned half of the Blizzcon attendees into planeswalkers. Didn't have anything witty for the other half so... sucks to be them. Zest and sOs look kinda broken. Turn 2 invisible stalker into turn 3 sOs -2 sounds very scary in modern, and -2 sOs on true-name nemesis breaks legacy. Zest's fateseal 3 ability basically locks your opponent out for the rest of the game. 10/10 They feel very protoss. | ||

Classic is hilarious. FanTa is spiritually close to a Planeswalker I scrapped (+1, if you have a creature, sacrifice a creature and destroy target creature). Love your Rain, that could actually be a legit card. Green has all the counter manipulating effects, right? That's really interesting to hear, I've played MTG for years, but strictly casual, just at home with friends. So I don't really know what's broken and what's not in the competitive world and really had to stab in the dark with these cards. I erm... went for broke with sOs on purpose, but I think I overplayed the fateseal thing with Zest. With something like that, I guess you just feed your opponent non-stop lands, right? So it would make more sense to put that on his -1. With Life, I was actually worried that he wasn't strong enough (esp -1), but I guess he's just more deck-dependent than some others. What do you think about Maru's -7? Too hard to get to to be broken? The fact that there's a card called Invisible Stalker that makes my sOs OP is too funny. Protection from players, now that's interesting. How is True-Name not broken even without sOs? Blue can counter, white can protect against blue kinda sorta, and black can force sacrifice... are green and red just fucked? :O | ||

Red can get rid of him by waiting until he blocks and casting a skullcrack, or more likely trying to burn out the player. He isn't as popular these days I think? All the planeswalkers you designed are very strong (probably too strong to be printed), but sOs and Zest were the ones that really struck me as broken. Zest's ability is something that Wizards really would never print since people really feel miserable when they're forced to only draw lands or only draw non-lands. Jace the Mind Sculptor's +2 is similar. Life is strong since you only have to + him twice to ult him and his ult ends the game against a fair percentage of decks, though he does nothing against some decks. Maru's -7 is very strong too (again you only have to plus him twice to get there, and you don't even lose Maru). It mayn't be played a lot since his -1 is very good though. So yeah from a game design perspective your cards are too strong in general and/or have stuff that Wizards would never print (+2/+2 counters for example), or are out of colour (giving haste isn't very blue). Many of mine too for that matter. Rain basically reads I win the game in 6 turns for example, though I could see a tuned down version of it being printed (actually while I didn't realize it at the time, the card Azor's Elocutors is pretty similar). Our cards do embody the players though, which is much more important. | ||
