Iron Squid had the best crowds. IEM Cologne had the best games. Lots of tournaments had better storylines including like half the GSL seasons. This production value and crowd is cool but overall it's a meh tournament for me. Worth watching for sure, but not amazing by any stretch

Not sure how you can say that. How many real, quality macro games have there been? Lots of one and two basing going on, feels like WoL.

maybe that is what he is refering too and what counts for him as a good game?

Not sure about blizzcon chances, will Lilbow and ForGG be fighting for their place?

this tournament really sucks

why are you so negative mate ?

Protoss bullshit getting the edge will always have me sad and bitter, sorry

The trick is to call it something else, like you do with other races, and then everything is peachy again

how to call it ?

You have at least two whole languages for that, the world is your limit my friend

If we were to really unleash our vocabulary of adjectives to describe protoss, the LR pages would be splattered with the red ban text of fallen Zerg freedom fighters

Its not only the Zergs.
I will never understand why blizzard decided to give a lesser players so many possibilities to win against a better player. I hate almost all the BS tactics, no matter the race. One Cheese per race is fine I guess, but there is so much to choose from as toss, and it even got worse with LOTV. It really keeps me from loving sc2 anymore.
It of course gets more frustrating the less skill you have. Since the allin does somehow often have an advantage, and not "defenders advantage", I lose on ladder quite often to players that never scout, have a third of my apm, in the replay it shows they are not understanding the game at all, just blindly playing their build... things like that shouldn't work. "Scout more" is the biggest BS tip ever heard, sometimes even pros don't scout hidden BS...

Oh hey, a post from Rollora, I wonder what it's about.

The tournament has certainly come together in the best way possible, but in terms of game quality I would rate multiple tournaments above it, narratively also at least a few

I'm not talking about game quality, but overall. And I meant best WCS xp

It's pretty hilarious then that you are qualifying a tournament as the best in 3 years while also completely ignoring game quality. That's like calling a car the best made in 3 years even though it drives like shit, or a concert the best ever even though the music sucked.

B-b-b-b-bbb--but our foreign stars are regularily winning series!

To balance out the negativity with positivity I just want to say it's awesome that Mana at least got to win in front of a homecrowd, I'm sure the feeling he got walking into that crowd after he won is going to stay with him a lot lot longer than the shame he surely has to feel about playing protoss like that

I forget the exact Waxangel quote but essentially it was that tournament organizers have control over 60% of how good the tournament is the rest is up to how good the finals are. This tournament has the 60% but for me it's about more than the finals. The games in general haven't been good. If the finals are objectively good then I'll be very happy but if they're bad games and a white guy wins and everyone overhypes it I'm gonna be sad

I'm one of those weird people who doesn't think games are better because a white person wins them. I get excited for upsets of course, but if the games are bad the games are bad simple as that
