Sure. It's just the wrong way of putting it imo. And bio concaves are lines (slight arcs which Colossi love).
Making a concave is great to make sure to have all your units hit enemy units but it's about having all your units hit enemy units not about making a concave. I feel a lot of caster overuse the word.

However a good bio concave means that it is much more difficult for gateway units to protect the colossuses as compared to two clumped armies

The colossus splash has a thickness though, they usually hit all the units in the arc
