I actually don't know his lategame strength atm :D But i know that people hyped him a lot and he didn't deliver really.
Ofc he is a good player, but pretty much anybody who gets playtime in progleague on a big team is a good player

Which is pretty smart since S2SL gives more points easier

Does it seem like players are prioritizing SSL over GSL? Dream didn't focus on his GSL group and it looks like TY may have done the same.

TY was prepared very well for Losira yesterday, but he wasn't clean or crisp in his actions. And he still almost won. But 2 Bo5s in back to back days has got to be rough.

SSL is faster money and WCS points. The Challenger match is basically Ro32. If you reach the group phase in SSL you already get 300 WCS points and 900$. If you get through Code A you get like 100 WCS points and 750$ and still have to go through 2 group phases and the playoffs.
As for Dream, both times for him he had GSL Ro16 and the day after that SSL Ro4. If you had to choose between preparing for a Ro16 group (potentially 3 matchups aswell) or preparing for a Ro4 match against 1 player, choosing the Ro4 match makes just so much more sense.

I am just wondering if players value one tournament more than the other considering prestige.
Is GSL still THE tournament in korea or did it shift towards SSL?

I missed game 2 (watching Code A at the same time) but he failed an all-in in game 1 and got all-in'd in game 3. HyuN also looked pretty good.
