Solar thought sOs was going for colossus. That's why he hit a viper timing that failed. That's when solar's bad decision making of expanding without detection kicked in and bunch of other stuff I must've missed.

but whatever...

Yeah atm it really feels like committing to range units is bound to fail if the P doesn't mess up. I like that Solar tried to go air and melee. In fact if he had positioned his "hidden" spire in a better spot I think he'd have won 3-1.

Then why would he go in just like that instead of harassing or preparing for a transition? Solar didn't know sOs had storm I bet and went right into sOs' third.

I think this is what happened: He made roach/hydra to deal with the immortal push follow up. sOs didn't push and Solar was in that weird spot where - he doesn't have tech, so going BLs is superrisky if sOs just pushes at like 140-150 supply with immortals, blink, possibly archons - he doesn't have melee upgrades or a spire so there is no possible techswitch - he cannot really attack because warp prisms
So what he did made sense: Get Vipers, go for a bigass timing. But I think there was a point where he missed out on slowly also getting out BL tech, so he had to remax on roach/hydra after the first timing failed.

when will zerg learn that roach/hydra is just a slow death against protoss

It seems like it's Protoss "adjustment" for this map (expedition lost). They fake some immo all-in by massing immortals early on and instead of pushing, they harass with warp prism/DT and tech heavily on 2 bases accumulating strong army and then take 3rd. IIRC Zest played similarly in PL against Rogue.
