Zest's won the last two games he played as well, his losses in round 3 are against Creator Dream and Maru so that's not that hard to rationalize. If anything this is more the coach getting TY to play (he only played twice in round 3).

Yeah. Most of the KeSPA coaches pick players to play in their proleague lineups based on their performance in-house. It's also a known truth that Stats plays better in broadcasted matches than he does in-house so it's not really surprising to me that he isn't playing. TY is a great player as it is anyway, and I doubt they will lose this week.
Also worth considering that playing TY on Coda may just be the KT coaching staff trying to snipe a specific player.
Even though stats is a very good player, often just looking at his record at face value isn't the end-all be-all if selecting players for a particular match up on a particular map, etc

Yeah but it would maybe make everything more interesting. For example, at face value this round looks close from the standings. But most of the series weren't close at all and the match days were rather short.

Pretty cool mindgames from Losira in that game. I wonder if he just committed to that ling/baneling all-in when he saw the 4 hellions from TY as opposed to 6.

He had a spore at his nat and an overseer at his third. Detection wasn't the problem. Main issue was throwing away hydra-ling during the base trade with shitty pathing awareness and a-moving drones in to die at the toss third.

Yeah that was pretty odd, still by that time he was in a very dicey situation.
Because he cut 2 hellions and added the barracks before double ebay I believe TY was trying to do a +1/+1 timing attack as his build. MKP is known for this build.
Regardless you need to be very active with your hellions with this build because of the weakness to all-in's the build creates

Yeah but I don't think he was good in like a super glorious unique sense. He was just good in a pretty regular way, albeit very much so.
There's was nothing regular about mkp's skill IMO, he was unique in his entire time as a top player.
I dunno, maybe not being there when it happened makes it harder to see. Either way my point is that MK hasn't had a successful, unique style in the sense of, say, GuMiho or YongHwa in a while :p

I think sending a zerg is a pretty bold move from MVP given the off-chance that KT goes crazy and sends Life. Life may be in whatever slump or what, but you simply do not want your tourmnament life to higne on a ZvZ vs Life, you just don't.
I have a weird feeling that Losira will take this.,. i don't know why.....Stats will play a bit greedy of course and Losira will do a succesful all-in....
I think its a bit of an odd pick personally with Losira. To me at least the likely players were either Flash/Zest/Life or maybe Stats as KT's pick. Only against Flash is it a good pick IMO

offracing is actually easy to fluke wins in an ace match with how easy it is to build order win in sc2. For example I would offrace a player like losira on this map and proxy 2gate the middle and its a free win.
