I feel like Classic has more chances to win against Dream than Stats but his PvP is inferior to Stats'. I think that Classic is a player who is better at preparing for the longer series than the other pros. On the other hand him and Dream are teammates and it is crucial for terrans to know the playstyle of their opponents in TvP. Just look at how that Bbyong vs herO series went Now that I am thinking it, a finals of two teammates is kinda anticlimatic so yea, Stats better win this one

I wonder about that. Stats has reached the SSL semis twice in a row now. He's KT's top performer in Proleague, including an all-kill of Dark, Sorry, INnoVation and Classic. He dominated the PvP group of death and 3-1'd PvP savant Zest. His only bo3+ losses in televised offline matches this year come from series against Maru and Dream. And general consensus still didn't have him as top 3-4 Protoss for the majority of the year.
I think Stats will take the series.Classic will win the chesse games ,which will also be the most interesting ones.The macro games will also be fun , but only during the big fights: lazers,pew-pew,wosssssshhhh, arghhhhhh,blabla from the shadows,krickkrkrkri- observer sound...etc.

A bit of both in that if I may be so bold, Classic didn't do much as a terran. He makes the miraculous switch to Protoss. Less than a year later he wins GSL. I will grant that he has a lot of legitamate wins but he also cheeses without the wit of sOs or the ballsy charm of Parting. Meaning that he makes protoss look like the easy win race which I don't appreciate.
Hmm, who to cheer for. I think Classic is the better TvP-player which might be funnier to see in the finals. But at the same time. Teamkills tends to be pretty lackluster.

no reinforcements pylon and when u've commited to 10 phoenix u need to win the phoenix war, since the battle will be over in 3 seconds and he just lifts however many Stalkers u have. I feel like instead of allining on killing his opponent with DT's just warp in Archons and go for the throat.
Classic was so sure he'd win, even told Stats to just give up and leave before game 1... looks like that's backfiring now. Hope this doesn't end 4-0 tho.

The 2nd game was Classic throwing the game though. He pushed Stats into an all in but instead of defending the all in he ... he simply attacked with pieces of his army. It simply doesn't make sense.

With 30-40% more Pheonixes than your opponent ...you can turn in your favor any engagement as long as you have similar type of ground forces

I checked, it was only 2 colossi and they only completed after Classic lost the big fight and his 3rd.
But he could have won the fight before his probes were destroyed. In which case the game would be his. No matter what, blocking your own units isn't a throw IMO. It's a stupid mistake like supply blocking yourself or letting zerglings into your main(I am looking at you, Parting!).
Yeah well it sure didn't help him that he donated a colossus to the Stats fund before the fight started, that's for certain.

Game 3 - blinks down the ramp into Classic who has the stalker lead and also blink Game 4 - goes DTs, does nothing, loses lots of stuff to Classic's DTs because he doesn't warp in a sentry Game 5 - I don't even know how he was that out of position for the fight

Stop falling apart Stats.
In game 5 that was because Classic annoyed him with his warp prism. As good as the players are, you often see them follow 2 units with all their army.
If those phoenix hadn't timed it out to kill the oracle Stats could have kept Classics ground army from getting home. As it stands, I'm getting scared for Stats, not sure the good move. Hell, hidden 3rd at top left?

The series was decided in game 3 when Stats didn't focus fire the fucking pylon... Classic is not the better player overall, but he has a better morale when he's in the ropes.

if Stats had his stalker immediately attack the pylon instead of the stargate he would have gone up 3-0. but well played to classic. Stats played pretty sloppy even in the first two games he won but classic played worse so he came back. god i'm so salty at the skt vs skt finals.

Ye Classic can defo take maps. Being a beast and teamkills are weird.
Another default SKT champion. Probably best since KT has SKT's number for quite a while now. I'm happy for classic and hope its an entertaining finals. Dream is pretty baller so I wouldn't be unhappy if he took the gold.

I'm talking about Finals matches of the GSL over the past couple years and proleague playoffs. In Proleague they have taken down SKT when it mattered most. Sure they are doing pretty even in a very broad picture, but based on the past couple years, no way would I ever want SKT to run into KT especially in a proleague Grand/Round finals or GSL finals.
edit: Everytime SKT looks to have an unbeatable player someone like, Zest or Stats comes out of no where with a terrifying All Kill on SKT into curb stomping players in individual leagues.
