herO's coaches simply suck. Ever since Life cheesed herO out with burrow movement roaches in GSL, opponents have been going for non-standard builds against herO, and herO's coaches have come up with absolutely squat for herO ... all they seem to have for him is "Keep going pure macro herO, you'll be fine!"

As far as I can tell most coaches don't help with individual leagues beyond a few cases (Ryu Won, Catz, Choya). Everyone else just has to figure it out on their own.

Yea, pretty much. Maru has said multiple times in his interviews he has to solo prepare without coach help.

Star players swap teams all the time, companies care about brand exposure the most, people are much more likely to cheer for a team in a team league than they are in an individual league (where they cheer for individual players). Honestly having a player that drives attention and fans is worth alot more to a sponsor than individual league success.

Dream is so consistent his Liquipedia article is still stuck in 2013.

On another note, this loss alone removed herO from the top 10 on Aligulac.

Dream just completely out-prepared him. Dream showed absolutely no strategy in the previous day's GSL. He did CC first two times, I think. herO used his builds the day before. I think it's smart for Dream to not show strategy in a less important match: even if he loses a Ro16 group match, he can still potentially make it out of the group, whereas advancing to the finals of S2SL means a lot more guaranteed cash and he cannot afford to lose. It also proved that herO absolutely mauls passive CC first openings, which means "don't do this in S2SL".

After Dream won the first two games in S2SL in such a manner that completely caught herO by surprise, I felt the match was already decided as herO was broken mentally. I'm even gonna go so far to say that be prepared to see him go into a slump, as he copes with the trauma.
