ok so i didn't play this cannon map yet but i'm a bit skeptical to that cannon. whoever secures it first just gets the sickest advantage and then it's like ... hokay, gg i guess ... ultra long range and apparently no limitation to the number of shots? does it have a weakness besides needing vision of the units that it's going to blow up? xd

Theoretically, the cannon does very little splash (the animation is very deceiving) so you could counter it fairly well with a small squad of zerglings, especially since every player so far has only controlled it with a single worker/overloard/low value unit. 4 or 6 zerglings could sneak around an army and tank a few shots to take the cannon back with ease I'm thinking.
TB has also said they're going to nerf the range and make it uncontrollable by air units.
EDIT: Keep in mind I'm just theorycrafting and actually pretty shit at the game so my thoughts come with a grain of salt :-)

Nah you're right and its something that other players have demonstrated in past matches. Snute should probably watch the Alicia match from last Clan War and see how easy it is to neutralize the cannon

I feel like these maps have a ton of potential for exciting games if people put the effort into learning them well. It kind of sucks when you get overlords run into cannons and stuff like that instead.
Crazy Clash was a good game though.

Quiet obviously had not practiced that map and played it completely terribly. It's inexcusable to lose 3 overlords to the same cannon, especially when he lost 2 of them in exactly the same place one after another.
Overall it was a poor series and I hope MVP take future matches more seriously, or we'll give their spots to other teams that do. That match was not entertaining because MVP had obviously not practiced the maps much whereas YFW had, so it was a stomp.
