I am grateful and most happy to see a couple of people feeling Flash will win.
I too drop all notions of atheism when it comes to Flash.
Also, what happened with the alleged match fixing with MarineKing? Did the police ever get called in? Isn't KESPA allowing him to play akin to saying 'not guilty' or from the drama queen angle 'don't care?'.

There have been no official announcements about it.

Yongwha pulled all of his observers back to deal with Dt's and didn't see the timing on his third base. Also Stats had a colossus lead from the early game which helped him win that fight. That warp prism harass just forces part of Yongwha's army to be out of position and remove some of the dps/damage soaking

Yeah Stats is just a more experienced/smarter player late game. I think he scouted Yongwha's greed early on and took advantage

I had the opportunity to trade Action for him this round. Traded for Horror instead T_T
This is exactly why people hate toss, retarded forcefields in the game. Despite that, this build was brutal! at least something different than blink stalker. Well played by Panic.

No please, I want to keep the moral highground vs Protoss.
Flash has mentioned several times how difficult it is to scout a Protoss thoroughly due to the wide arsenal of ways you can die. Losing a game like that is infuriating
I will say it was a smart move by Panic to make all of his gates in his natural. If flash were to scan he would see nothing out of the ordinary and assume a typical macro game
Lol, that's what I'm saying, MarineKing 2-0 vs Protoss. If he's still playing the game seriously and practicing, I don't see why he couldn't beat Zest.

Please, he lost to Kan in the S2SL qualifiers. So either that means Kan is a bonjwa or MarineKing's not in form.

I agree. His play in the Hot6 Cup against MKP was poor decision making in my opinion
That whole Hot6 Cup run was protoss trying to cheese out MK who had apparently built an immunity after getting Choyaed in the practice house. At least until sOs just ignored the trend and outright murdered him.

Yea Zest's PvT has been amazing since then. But for example if Zest played against a Zerg then he wouldn't have been 'spotted' with excellent PvT either.
definitely agree with Wolf, MarineKing probably the most stubborn kespa terran, maybe even most stubborn kespa player out there. he makes Flash's greed and lack of scouting look conservative

He also overdoes it with Flash, he overdoes it with a bunch of other players struggling with poor form or just simply those that are clear underdogs that fail to win (as if it was always completely expected for everyone). Moonglade and Wolf do it too at times which is a bit annoying, but with Brendan it's the most annoying given his often very obvious "analysis" and often over-simplified commentary.

I don't get it... They are knowing that they are playing against Life, right? At this point it feels like 50% of the games Life wins are due to his opponent forgetting who they are playing against and going full greed against someone who is known to just make a ton of lings and kill you.
oh crap. Just remembered that Losira was on the cusp of making Kespa Cup. Might not get in now depending on how Rogue and Cure do in the upcoming match

You people think it's that simple. Life can do anything, from a 9pool to all out greed. Blindly countering an all-in won't work every time. ~_~

Really bad game.
Because he's afraid that Life hunts them with queens
When you have two overlord you can position them far enough away to be safe from Queen's attack (or he really had to commit a lot) and still cover all path. Plus given the big commitment in zergling it was unlikely that life had more than two queen.

You don't have to hard counter an all-in in order to stay alive... Just play a little bit more conservative, make a round of drones less if you see him building a ton of lings. And, you know, scout him. But somehow players tend to do stuff like Nexus first no scout or double hatch before pool in deciding games against Life and each and every time he just makes a bunch of Lings and kills them.

Of course it's not simple to beat Life, but going pure greed against a notorious quasi-cheeser is just silly.

Still a Terran favoured map against a foreign Protoss, lag and time issues or no.
Flash pretty much only does exceptionally in TvT, yeah. However, at his best he can do much better than what he's showing currently. Currently his TvP is like a rollercoaster, one week he plays decent, next week he does something really silly (or his opponent does and he dies) and his TvZ seems to depend on how much freedom he's given by his opponents.
But when he's at his best he's a really good player. He was one of the top players in Proleague last year and he was expected to do really well in Code S season 3 by pretty much everyone. He's like really struggling with consistency.
Especially that he's struggling so much in TvP and TvZ this year so far is astonishing. First, Zest and Stats all know their way around PvT and could help him, and the best Zerg in the world is also on KT. Baffles me.

Holy shit get a grip people. He's 3-2 in round two, before today he had the 2nd best round record for KT, he's the only player other than Maru to beat ByuL this round. Today he lost to the great book of Protoss bullshit. If this makes you say "Flash is terrible", I don't even want to know what you think of INnoVation.

I mean I think Sorry is better than him at this point

I mean, INno beat Sorry in the KeSPA Cup qualifiers. So either you're wrong or Sorry has just started a slump.
Sorry is currently 10x the player INnnoVation is. He beat Taeja who is the greatest terran of all time and stomps inno all the time and he did that to qualify for Code S where Inno is only in because of his ro8 charity seed. Inno is in the biggest slump in sc2 history so far tbh.

It loses in credibility somewhat if it's not said by swag_bro. Then again, swag_bro is also in a slump.
On April 15 2015 01:13 Yorkie wrote: So how was Losira vs Life? Semi-close or a rofl stomp?
Losira did a good job at scouting Life's speedlings attack coming, but launched a round of drones instead of lings. Proceeded to then closely hold the ling attack, only to lose to the roach follow-up. So somewhere between semi-close and a roflstomp I guess.

You were a believeable swag_bro till you called Taeja the greatest Terran of all time. Everyone knows that's Guilty

I think it's unfair to judge Guilty on the same basis as the others. He's just that superior, and he should be considered guilty of being too good to enter the best Terrans list.

Sorry but after that game vs Dark he can no longer claim that title. Guilty is slumping way too hard.

After thinking about the game for a bit, I've come to the conclusion that a depot in the natural wouldn't have been enough. Panic had stored up enough FF energy to lock Flash out of his natural for long enough to create an army Flash can't fight without a bunker (no medivacs on the field). Flash's units were at the main ramp when Panic's warp prism entered the natural, so unless he suddenly starts playing with the speed of a Bronze League Hero, Panic is guaranteed to get at least the workers from the natural. So I think to hold this Flash would have needed to scout either the sentries and the warp prism or the warp prism and the gateways; then he deflects it easily and Panic is in trouble.
Granted the way it went, Flash miscontrolled a bunch of his marines and just ran them into FF, but I'm not sure those would have allowed him to take a good fight. What he could have tried to do though is use his natural workers to attack Panic's sentries. If Panic gets nervous (or should I say... panics? no, no I shouldn't) with SCVs running at his sentries he might miss the FF and Flash might have a shot to bring his army over to shut it down. But relying on your opponent making mistakes sucks :S.
Very surprisingly surprised that Flash lost. A few days, he was the best player in the world. Oh well, I guess shit happens sometimes. I am not used to Flash losing at all. I am, however, used to him winning everything because of great game sense. I don't know what happened to this Flash...

I think it's just nerves. If Flash can get over them we'd have the first sc2 bonjwa again.

So tl;dr: needed better scouting.
I'm rewatching the game, and yes you are right about Flash not trying to fight with his SCVs. The FFs came down at 8:24 game time. There were 3 sentries. Flash just passed them by with his 11 SCVs and 2 Mules. The FFs dispersed at 8:39, around the same time when all his SCVs went down, so he had full 15 s to fight with an average of 5-6 SCVs (considering some stalkers went on to shoot the CC). That's like 250-300 damage right there. 3 sentires of a combined 240 HP. He should have at least taken out 2 of them easily. Then the marines storm in 8:39 and he might have a chance. But here his workers get cluttered on the ramp, looking stupid and he eats another round of FFs around 8:37 splitting part of his army.

Sorry Flash, bad crisis management there. <_<
I think it is nerve issue, especially in Live matches and God Status . . . Because clearly he is panic and not thinking straight to perform logically, he just panic and rely on instinct, that is to run . .? The game VS Lee Nock too , I feel overstim and over scan are all due to using panic mode instinct not logic sense.
I went on stage before , I will never forget that feeling ~~ . Suddenly what I tink in mind is not what I say.

Not sure if he was actually managing or was like auto-piloting. The moment he spotted the drop, he instantly: lifted the OC, tried to run his workers, moved his marines over. But he looked like he stopped controlling the army units since they just ran into the force field wall doing nothing, that should only happen if he was focusing on something else :S
Beautiful build by Panic against Flash. I sometimes wish that both Teams had to send 2 Players out publically known on maps, so that the other Team could choose which Opponent to send to specifically play against that Player on that Map to snipe him. It would need some more scheduling, but I think a fair way to do this would be possible.
