So the proper response is taking the "3rd" as you natural? I would probably take some probes and try to kill it, not wait to build itself, not sure though.
Dear playing really badly, the 1st game I am OK with that, something new and surprising can kill these "robots", but the 2nd game. Man, it was hard hold, I agree, but going DOWN there was totally a mistake...
I just voted for Dear, after he was about to go down 2-0. Why am I voting for a Protoss anyway? GSL.. this quality.. I get you have to feed your kids, and pay wages to continue to give us great games, but maaaaaannn...

Not super impressed. This series was more just Dear being bad than RagnaroK being good, although he was far from shit or anything.
If CJ make anything more than just herO in top 4 I'll be super surprised.

I just saw the last game, I have no idea how bad/well Dear played d: But you shouldn't underestimate CJ players. Ragnarok to top 4 is farfetched, I admit, but for ByuL, Bbyong and herO it's definitely possible provided the usual CJ teamkills don't happen.

Honestly I don't know. We haven't seen Zets's PvT since IEM iirc. Bbyong's TvP seems pretty decent. I'd say that it will be a close 3-2 one way or the other.

IEM...where he crushed Bbyong. I think it all comes down to Bbyong figuring out exactly what super aggressive strategy Zest is doing and shutting it down. Every game at IEM was heavy aggression from Zest
To everyone saying that Dear played badly, I missed half the first game can't comment on early game but mid game he was already at a disadvantage but played well with what he had, impressive holds! Game two he played really well, he didn't anticipate the viper timing, the vipers janked the two colossi and thus his all in was defeated. Dear didn't think Ragnarok would be tech so fast or that he had the window to do so while Dear was pushing so hard. Dear played well but Ragna even better. Game three I missed for lunch, game four he had nice build and game five he played pretty good until he did bad ff and a mistake in army position.

I think that Zest could use the fact that we haven't seen him play TvP since IEM to change from the aggro approach he took vs Bbyong, since what Bbyong will primarily study will probably be these games. But yeah I can see Zest going full aggro again.

Bbyong is to my mind a very good TvP player when he has a good idea of what is coming at him -see how he crushed herO in IEM. If he studies Zest's style enough he should be fine, Zest hasn't go that many builds and you can usually identify them quite early if you know what to scout (either safe robo or blink play, colo drop or twilight agression (commitment to DTs or blink)). Once the midgame is reached, Zest drop defence isn't the most amazing ; he's very solid against scv pulls but can be torn apart by good drop play. I'm very curious to see those games anyway.

And game 5, the most important, Dear nailed the first 3 shields, the next 3 were off and roaches got down the ramp. If the next 3 land and block too he can go on and snipe the hatch, move on from there.
Bomber's got this!! Anyone know when we will get our much anticipated medium quality? Only Code S? Excuse me if I am the 1000th person asking but couldn't find it anywhere.

Bbyong's never been good at single leagues, and I just don't see ByuL doing it either. I'd see an SKT, KT or JAGW all-Ro4 before CJ, easily.

since when is that the only definition of playing badly? his control was subpar a lot of the time and his engagements were pretty sketch. This was not Dear anywhere near his best.
Bomber is an idol of mine for his stubbornness, his reluctance to scouting, his pristine macro... He embodies in a lot of ways the typical player I respect. I hope he doesn't play too greedy here and pulls through.

Indeed ^^. He most likely trained pretty hard, now will it be enough for a player that's obviously getting older and is closer to retirement than to his prime ? We'll see !

It's never too late to make the swiiiiitch!
why switch to Terran though? Switch to Zerg : you can make DRONE DRONE DRONE and then ROACH ROACH ROACH and play the best and most skillful MU in the game, ZvZ. You can also make your Protoss or Mech opponents rage hard by using the second best unit in the game. You can cheer for the best player in the world. So good.

I hate myself for reading that with Starship - Nicky Minaj singing in my head.
And no please, using the race with the most narcoleptic unit ever, never!
This stuff is still in low quality? I was expecting them to push out medium the next season but I guess they're adamant on potato quality for the plebs

One day you'll play Zerg and you will discover the Truth.

He used to be pretty good at that but too much casting with Artosis kinda ruined his knowledge... :/ I am probably one of the few people who thinks Tasteless solocasting was leagues above Tastosis.

It's so absurdly obscure that it's not googleable. Wow.
It is to the point where I even wonder how the find them. Do they have to get obscure stuff to not get copyright infringement? I remember one season last year where they had a pretty known EDM song with a nice beat.

Remember that infamous Bomber game on the very same map where he defended all time, maxed out on tank marine medivacs and walked across the map for the first time to win the game ?

Bomber's law relevant once again? After chosing really bad/inadequate builds in game 1 and 2, we start to see some vintage bomber's macro, let's hope he holds it together for game 3
This game was such a Bomber game. Winning games he has no right to win by having one billion army supply. Happy for him, it was looking grim for a while.

You actually think this series was really code S level? especially that last game. Maybe it's just a bad day for both, but I think Bomber has seen his best days. And I think Code S currently is just a bit too high for Shine

thsi is code a
they are playing for code s this series doesn't have to be code s
yes, i think every series bomber plays is worthy of code s i am one of the worst fans on this forum.

In that case players like Maru or PartinG or Life shouldn't be Code S players or considered GSL champions because they can be inconsistent and play extremely poor as well.

Bomber crazy bio style is unusual but has proven to be effecient since 2011, and that last game was extremely well played in that regard. Well deserved code S spot imho.

That's the thing with Bomber though, isn't it? One day he looks tired and awful and the next day he beats everyone without batting an eye. Few thought he'd get much done at all these last couple of years and were proven wrong.
At his best he's a top class player, at his worst he looks as if he doesn't even belong in Code A. The three last games shows, in my opinion, that Bomber is a ridiculously talented player, he just seems to make it hard on himself for no reason at times.
Really shows tastless can't pronounce some of the names, not watching enough tournaments =D Sascri is actually a beast guys, San is going to have a tough time. Learn this guy's name.

Is the whole point of the sig countdown to make people ask stupid questions and look like idiots, or is there a story?
I'd like to point out that the last game started with San doing a Sangate but forgetting a gateway. San means three in japanese, I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere, someone think of it please

Maybe he just queued the 4th gate earlier, but blocked it with a pylon.
On April 08 2015 22:22 Heartland wrote: I left before, how was the rest of Bomber vs Shine?
Bomber macro'd Shine to death basically, in the last game from being rather behind after a failed proxy 2 rax vs early pool
The last game was more or less Shine making units and then throwing them away for no gain, then dying when Bomber had an army. Also something like 5 marines without medivac support killed Shine's 5th.
On April 08 2015 22:22 Heartland wrote: I left before, how was the rest of Bomber vs Shine?
Bomber macroed out of a deficiency but was still behind but Shine threw it by being overly aggresive and counterattacking instead of just taking a fight on creep. Think Life vs Dream in the SSL but much more scrappy

Is anyone else able to watch the VODs? I am subscribed but can't access the VODs that are uploaded on the GSL twitch page. It says on the video screen that I need a subscription even though I am subscribed.
Looks like Dear is back to losing to players that are lower than him. I would not be surprised if Samsung kicked him out of the team because of this.
Bomber is one of the best players when it comes to comebacks so I am not surprised that he won in this fashion.
San? LOL his winrate was inflated by beating easy foreign Zergs in Europe then losing to real Koreans in the later parts of the tournament. San should request Yoe Flash Wolves to get him a European or American visa so he can play there and inflate his wins again.
