Yeah it's a sought after trade and in general things like carpenters mechanics etc all those trades are decently payed in Germany and sought after. For a young bloke who probably wont even have a gf at that time I should be living pretty well xD

It is an interesting thing, so called "blue collar," positions or perhaps better put tradesmen, are retiring in droves, and the number of kids who can replace them is comparatively few. I used to work for a city and they were having trouble filling positions for things that required a class a license (which basically lets you drive everything with wheels in the states).
