Sorry for double post but does anyone know how were the groups drawn? Because it seems that the playoffs are A-C and B-D and thus from the very beginning it was guaranteed that one Ro8 match will be a Korean-Korean and thus no Korean Top3 was ever possible. Blaaah.

the 4 players who came second in each group were randomly drawn from a bowl on stream. From top to bottom they were placed on the bracket in the order drawn.

Then the process was repeated with the 4 players who came first in each group.

The outcome is the matches you see here.

Also the 1st place and 2nd place of each group had to be on different sides of the bracket.

It was random. First they drew the second place finishers in the order of the bracket. Then they drew the group winners.

Thanks guys. It went surprisingly regular for a random draw but I am quite aware of the fact that it is not that statistically unlikely. Still a slightly unfortunate outcome

Not fully random, though, the second place finisher in the Ro16 could not play against the first place finisher of the same group. They first drew all four second place finishers, what happened was Group A & Group B in the top half of the bracket, and Group C & Group D in the bottom half. That meant that the winners from Group C & Group D were randomly put into the two places on the top bracket, and the winners from Group A & Group B were placed in the lower bracket.

This way, two people from the same group can only meet in the finals, while who plays who exactly is mostly randomized.

I watch it carefully, he had enough money for a couple of lings to finish the game like 10 minutes earlier. Or, he could have just killed the tempests. But that's Snute, he is bloody thorough when he is at his best game and it just pays off.

And the video length suggests that there wasn't even a big delay yesterday
