Bunny shows his class and honestly with this tournament solidifies (in my mind at least) the fact that he really is one of if not the best foreigner.

Bunny played really fucking well, better than any foreign Terran in history for Heart of the Swarm. BUT POLTTTTTTTTTTTTT Yeah ikr so impressed by Bunny's play. You can arguably say that Stephano and maybe Vortix have more results as foreigner, but Bunny is for sure one of the best, if not the best foreign terran as of yet and now with results backing him up. So sad he was so close tho in getting to a WCS Final and maybe even win the whole thing. It seems like Polt plays better on the big stage and even better on pressure. I'm mind boggled by the fact that Kane was able to beat Polt but not Bunny but I think that's why. Polt finds a weakness of Bunny in a BO5 and takes advantage of it simple as that. I think this is pretty much the same for Polt v Hydra as well because it's a BO7. Just like Zest v Hydra he eventually finds weaknesses when playing against Hydra and penetrates them. Btw. what do you guys think as to how Hydra could have done better especially on the last 3 games? I think all these 3 games went out pretty much the same. Hydra went Ling Bane Muta and maybe some Ultra and they all got crushed by Polt's 4M + Vikings. I'm not sure why Hydra didn't try to mix things up a bit at least instead of being so predictable. Maybe add a few infestors and swarm host at least would help? Maybe Dark's corruptor play against terran? What do you guys think?

I've helped him prepare for other important matches in the past as well, and I can definitely steal games from him. Would I beat PartinG in a series? very unlikely - but I can definetly take games off of him or most non-terran players in general, zvp isn't a very mechanical matchup.

I don't really fault Hydra for the last game. It's always easy to say he makes bad engagements off-creep, but at one point he felt so pressured. Polt kept knocking on his front-door. He has to take the risk and push it back in order to progress his creep spread and get some air to breath. The only thing that seemed wasteful was his banelings bumping on the Thors all the time. But what you gotta do? The Thors moving in front, zoning out the mutalisk and giving the marines time to spread against the banelings. At one point you gotta think you have to get rid of the Thors, otherwise the banelings will go to waste anyway. You'd need higher numbers of mutalisk and zerglings to deal more favourably with the Thors. But where should they come from? Insofar I think this thor-widowmine-marines-mutalisk-banelings-zerglings interaction is much more complex and cannot be reduced to saying Hydra made this and this wrong, it's just the surface of things. Polt has identified (since game 6) that it's good to set his army up directly in front of Hydra's bases and put on so much constant pressure that Hydra couldn't divert his attention to harass with ling-runbys or mutalisk, otherwise his bases would be lost in an instant. This was a very good strategy, but equally risky since reinforcements have a longer way to the main army, which means the enemy has better reinforcements to his armies. Besides, they can be more easily picked up. Polt did a good job at grouping reinforcemnts together so as not to be overwhelmed by the mutalisks. That being said, Hydra could have won it 4:1 easily at some point and we'd have an entirely different story. I think it was refreshing, some foreigner games were very entertaining, as they have a different approach to the game. Besides, clutched games just require similar skill levels.
