I just don't think that the age thing is really it, I mean there have been many players very succesful even though they were older, see NesTea. Guy approached his 30s at his dominance.

If Hydra gave his mojo to Jaedong in BW, Id expect Jaedong to slump then too. They are just in different tiers of players.

The only thing that was likely between JD and Life in that game was the way JD overextended the attack

Indeed it was, and people are alway exaggerating so much when they talk about his 2014. Him winning LSC and WEC never gets mentioned. And then people always say "a few top8s", when he got to the semis of 3 IEMs and 2 DHs. He only really sucked in WCS, which makes sense since he had no time to prepare for matches with all his travel.

I honestly wish he retired and went back on streaming on afreeca. He was the most successful player in 2013 and brought a lot of innovations to the ZvP matchup. Also won with a 6pool in ZvZ.

He didn't look good but he didn't lose in like 10 min. Although he was close to losing that fast in 1 game. He was able to stick around for a while but I don't think he ever held a lead in a game
