I wonder if this was the shortest wcs group season. What with all the swarmhosts play. Guess we have Has to thank for that. hah.

Serral nearly made me want to play Z, and I only ever felt that with Bomber. That was amazing. NaNiwa crumbled after the first series, his 2nd PvP vs Has was not on point. The colossus all-in especially, that was lile the worst possible thing to do. Overall a pretty entertaining group, I hope Serral shows some more awesome play in next rounds.

I'm just happy because everyone and their mother made this group all about Naniwa, TL included. I'm happy to see others advance even though I was pulling for both zergs. I will enjoy that bias not being present in the ro16

But it's not in a studio, it will be a real venue with a big live audience. That's why it's so upsetting that the location isn't announced yet. People have to plan their travel, book flights/hotels etc..
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

The UK Studio is a joke, isnt it? Even smaller then cologne.

I had hoped they would do it during the CeBIT in Hannover, but apperantly they would have announced it earlier.

I think they just dont know it yet and their fall back plan is ESL UK Studio with 5 people crowd.

Or they try to get the G-Finity Arena in time but dont know yet if it will be possible.

If UK is out of the picture then maybe France? Meltdown? Because Stephano doesn't get invited out of nowhere.

It's possible that players/teams have been told but have an NDA so the venue can be announced with more fanfare. Sucks for potential spectators though particularly those who are willing/able to travel longer distances

Correct, Ro32 exit puts you into challenger.

Not too sure about Polt. He looked good but not amazing. Kind of the same goes for Bunny. Snute and ForGG looked very solid, but Serral played damn well, too.
Overall, it seems like Zerg players are getting their shit together again. It's also cool to see that they are using vastly different playstyles. There are worlds between Serral and FireCake.

Many people are arguing that Naniwa being eliminated is bad for WCS viewership, but won't the Taiwan and China numbers surpass the amount of Naniwa fans that won't tune in? Even if those numbers won't be on the main stream, that's a huge part of the SC scene and every Chinese/TW player advancing is good for WCS right?

I am putting Chinese/TW numbers together since I'd guess it's one Mandarin stream and the scenes seem connected. Not sure, if anybody knows more tell me .

If you only watch starcraft 2 for Naniwa then I don't want you around anyway lol

You might not, but the sponsors definitely do. It's all about the viewer numbers and at the very least Naniwa usually brings those.

I'm also less likely to tune in now that all my favourite players are out or failed to qualify(Naniwa included). You might think I'm not a true Sc2 fan (and you'd be right, my interest in SC2 has been declining a lot the past year.) Not to take anything away from Has and Serral, they deserved to go through today.

No, all RO32 players except the winner are sent back to challenger. Only the winner gets seed.

Well I think telling the fans where they have to travel as early as possible is the most important thing, but I don't think they told the players, even after the the location and date were already chosen.

TLO had an interview with Spiegel a few days ago and was embarassed since he couldn't tell them when and where the finals will be.

Also Aeromi told him afterwards, but he is on an NDA so he can't tell us. The fact that he knows makes me believe the finals are in France .
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.
