Mech is consider playable but inferior to bio assuming the highest skill levels on both sides. In general, mech wins versus Zerg when the opponent is less experienced with dealing with it. Hence, ForGG defeating Life, even though now Life will have refined his reactions and probably crush anyone who tries to play mech against him. What Korean pros like about bio is that it rewards multitasking and speed in a way mech doesn't. In the case of yesterday, Happy was successful because he'd already invested a ton of money in mech production and upgrades. The time it would have taken to then transition to bio would have been prohibitive. Now, why not go Hellion/Banshee into bio? That I don't know. Perhaps Happy and ForGG feel that they play better with mech, or perhaps they're relying on the general against-meta nature of their mech to put the opponent off balance. | ||
