Look I don't like KT and Zest as much as the next guy but this is kinda ridiculous lol. Sometimes teams/players play well and sometimes they don't. No reason to go and shit on a team and player when they don't play up to the high standard they set for themselves. Please dont come into threads with the sole purpose of marginalizing the successes and victories of a team and to shit on a player/team at any opportunity. Thanks.

The funny thing is, it's your opinion that if I called Zest a patchtoss then my opinion is "worth literally nothing." See where this is going?
Also, refer back to the thread I linked where I actually explained my analysis. Zest is a player who "became good" right after the two biggest protoss-buffing patches, and was "the best player" during the undisputed and only ever Protoss-dominated era of SC2. If not patchtoss, what is the proper word to call someone who only became good once a patch buffed their race (protoss) and whose results have since significantly declined?

I'm assuming the oracle buff is the patch in question. That would be 11/11/13.
Zest, while not being anywhere close to championship level, was still a good player long before that. An upcoming player to look out for. In the 2012/2013 SPL he went 29-17 (63% win rate) and was ranked #7 overall. Which was actually better than his 2014 SPL performance (during the protoss era) where he went 20-16(56% win rate). He made a decent run in the 2013 WCG qualifiers eliminating Maru along the way and from what I remember he almost eliminated Bogus with a 2-1. Then he qualified into IEM New York and only met his end at the hands of the eventual champ (Life) going 1-2 both times. So no, I think that qualifies Zest as at least being a good player who was on an upwards slope even before the patch.
Additionally, can we really say his results have significantly declined? Okay, sure, he's not in either Korean league but neither are players like soO (the 2nd most consistent player of 2014) and sOs. How do you rate them? A current 5-4 in SPL isn't so bad either considering the players and types of games he's lost. At the rate he's going, he'll end up about the same as he was last season with a sub-60% win rate. Beneath what you'd expect from Zest, but still better than a lot of people.
