Hm, am I the only one who thinks that Impact actually had a critical mass of banelings that is unbeatable by mere bio splitting like Rifkin claims? Imo, the only way Heart would've been able to take the engagement is if Impact made an mistake and ran them all over widow mines or into a single thor.

heart split in a line which is bad vs that many banelings he needed to split in a kind of concave way so as many units could attack banes at once and would allow for max survivability and thus ability to continue splitting back, but your right in that t's very hard to beat at that point.

I think it's beatable 170 supply to 130, but you need to be prepared for the engagement. Engaging in a concave, backing off where the banelings are attacking. Don't walk on creep and split as good as possible.
It's very hard though, and if you get caught just a bit off guard it's almost impossible.
