Yeah I have to agree, it's weird to have 4 Terrans playing, but then only being allowed to vote on 3 of them. I guess it's to prevent Flash from winning another popularity contest, but still.
If last season is anything to go by, I'd expect the Terrans to win all 4 games, into KT winning the ace match, but this one seems extremely close to me. Though with it being the first match of the season, I'm open to it being a 3-0 blow-out either way. Both teams are good enough to pull that off.
(P)Zest < (T)Maru - Maru has always been a superior player to Zest. (T)TY < (P)sOs - sOs is absolutely the best PvT player in SC2. He even beat MarineKing. Not many Protoss players can make that claim. (T)Flash > (Z)Rogue - Flash will probably just toy around with Rogue until he leaves. (P)Stats < (T)Cure - Both of these guys made it to a round of 4 of Code S then did nothing. But I think that Cure's TvP is better than Stats' PvT.
but just in case Stats some how beats Cure, the ace match will be:
(T)Flash < (P)sOs - As mention above, sOs is the best PvT player in the world right now. No Terran can stop him. If MarineKing could not stop sOs, I can't see how Flash can beat him.

Captains are tiebreakers. If, say, both FPL players have 110 points, but one has Flash at 23 points as captain while the other has Has at 3 points, then the one with a Flash captain gets the higher placement.

According to performances in individual leagues, Rogue should take it easily. But Flash's expertise in SC2, if he has any, seems to be these BO1s that stress prep time.

In his defense, this WOULD be the week for Zest to lose. His worst matchup, one of the best Terrans, and comparatively less time for everyone to prepare.

The only thing that really matters for me is Rogue beating Flash (and Jin Air winning) so I hope we get some good games. I also just want to see Zest and Flash and Stats lose.

Jin Air manager is like Brad Pitt level handsome da fuck bet he gets allll the girls. Maru played nice there, nice build executed well and Zest just got caught with his pants down rushing Blink and not seeing the factory.

Not enough splash. We saw what happened when he tried to win with only 3 or 4 Colossi and 2 Archons 200/200 vs 200/200.
I actually think that Ty would have had a great timing around 150supply vs 150 supply, only 2archons for splash if he had pulled the boys.

I actually think that Ty would have had a great timing around 150supply vs 150 supply, only 2archons for splash if he had pulled the boys.
He could have won that fight easily, but that was possibly the worst fight he could take. All his Phoenix died before the other units attacked and the Colossi didn't do very much neither. The game should have ended there without a doubt, imo.

Wow, KT getting destroyed like they're nothing. I expected Zest to get smashed -sad to admit but he's in a huge slump- but the other results are quite surprising.
Why is this a surprise? Jin Air got the best matchups possible vs KT. This match doesn't say anything about either team's strength. Jin Air just had better matchups

He's really not.
I think I know what he's trying to say, but I think gimmicky is word with a negative connotation. sOs is an incredibly smart player who is unorthodox and wins not by pure flawless execution (altho his execution is pretty damn good) but by getting into his opponents' heads, throwing them off, faking out and crafting builds to specific players, playstyles and maps. He also has incredible decision making and game sense like with what he said in that interview with the faux attack in the early game.
sOs is a master of psychology. The more vulnerable a player is to tunnel vision, emotions, or some sort of style, the more tools sOs has to wield against them. He's not mechanically a great player, and he may look "gimmicky", but he knows how to adapt to his opponent better than almost anyone from what I've seen. He also understands the game at a very fundamental level.

Yeah that should be why he can not make it to SSL and GSL. When you throw random opponents at him, he shows his weakness, that is unprepared matches.
I'm a Jin air fan and even I can't stand the hate on KT. They did win last season (beating Jin air) and while I think the boys in green do have the superior squad, let's see how this season plays out.

Seeing as i was not talking about "hate boners" earlier its weird to see it thrown into the discussion. However i dislike sOs as his playstyle imo brings the worst of sc2 up. I dont really like Zest as well, but the fact that someone actually called him a patchtoss is just wrong.

At this point all JinAir players get into the opponents heads. It's like they are being coached to go for the throat. Maru, Rogue, and before they even had TRUE who absolutely embarassed Myungsik. :/
