3-2 Solar wins. Scarlett is in a bit of a pickle. TY is the terran I love to watch the most. Most casters go gaga when some terrans drop on the main and run some hellions into the natural. Or talks about gumiho and chaos. But no terran is as scary as TY when it comes to multi-tasking. It's not uncommon to see him fighting on 4 places at once. So Scarlett is in a bit of a dilemma. If as she said, she do not think mutalingbling is the answer, she might go swarm host. But I do not think swarm host will be able to keep up with Ty's drops and speed all over the map. Scarlett have a better chance to go mutalingbling as she is always very smart about drop defence. Her problem is parade push with widow mines trap. If Scarlett's mechanics is still as good with her normal good creep spread and her tendency to upgrade hard, she might have a chance if she time her hive tech switch perfectly. Ty have a tendency to overplay the mid game simply because he is having so much fun, he don't always have the killer instinct. Ty should not really try 11/11 in this series, as he is too good to want to get a free win this way. But you can't rule him out completely though. 3-1 TY The big one. Life was undone by ForGG mech play. Flash likes to go mech in tvt, against Zerg it's a bit varied. Flash have a few timings that are scary good, the 7 marine drop, the hellbat push and usually become a kill as zergs use zerglings to kill his hellbats. Against life, this 2 pushes could either go very well or very bad because of life tendency to overstay on zergling tech. In his series against forGG, you could see life stubbornness by refusing to go swarm host (only in 1 game iirc), and opt to go roach hydra instead. He could not trade efficiently all game. It was so painful to see him throw waves after waves of roach hydra into siege tanks (god, hydras are so expensive). Flash mechanically is superior to forGG and life seems to have a problem playing his preferred style against mech. Flash will have a better chance going mech. Life can put in a few roach bane if he smells a weakness in flash's defence. Flash sometimes have the bad habit of salvaging his bunker too early or not building them because his macro is too good. If flash is up 1 or 2 games, he may throw in an 11/11 to win. If he is behind, he most likely won't do it. Flash 3-2 life. 6 players have differing play style and strength. And should offer us viewers with 3 fairly different series. What I really hope is to see something ground breaking different from the terrans, much like terminator's collosus pheonix into gateway explosion timing with 3/2 on game 5. Or like forGG mech feint into bio switch to win him dreamhack winter. Here's to great games tonight. | ||
