For my American bros who haven't been to Germany/Austria and had this insanely amazing streetfood: It's a somewhat-spicy grilled brat that has *fucking cheese* inside. It's nothing like those bullshit Cheddar Dogs you can get at Harris Teeter, these are chunks of real German cheese inside the brat, so they're all gooey and melty when it's grilled. Then, they take some awesome flaky-ass bread, and take a core sample out of the middle. They put ketchup (curry if you're a real man) and mustard in the now-hollow bread roll, then shove that tasty cheese brat from above into it. Boom. You can carry that sucker around one-handed, not dripping a thing, and enjoying an awesome brat on fantastic bread instead of a on bullshit bun that splits on the bottom and leaks anyway. Source: American with significant travel experience and an Austrian friend. | ||
