Was thinking about creating the topic as Lorning couldn't but it would've been my first ever LR thread and I wasn't sure I could get everything right so I'm glad Faefae picked it up in time

Hopefully ForGG does well. Go Terran!
First LR as well I'm sorry in advance for being bad !
ForGG must win this! MaNa must win this! - ForGG is at ~ 7.66 % chances to qualify for Blizzcon 2014 ~ 66.75 % of the time ForGG wins this match and their Blizzcon chances go up to ~ 11.46 %. ~ 33.25 % of the time ForGG loses this match and their Blizzcon chances go down to ~ 0.03 %. ------------------------------------------------- - Bly is at ~ 0.03 % chances to qualify for Blizzcon 2014 ~ 46.43 % of the time Bly wins this match and their Blizzcon chances go up to ~ 0.06 %. ~ 53.57 % of the time Bly loses this match and their Blizzcon chances go down to ~ 0 %. ------------------------------------------------- - MaNa is at ~ 0.83 % chances to qualify for Blizzcon 2014 ~ 45.09 % of the time MaNa wins this match and their Blizzcon chances go up to ~ 1.84 %. ~ 54.91 % of the time MaNa loses this match and their Blizzcon chances go down to ~ 0.01 %. ------------------------------------------------- - BlinG is at ~ 0.01 % chances to qualify for Blizzcon 2014 ~ 41.74 % of the time BlinG wins this match and their Blizzcon chances go up to ~ 0.02 %. ~ 58.26 % of the time BlinG loses this match and their Blizzcon chances go down to ~ 0 %.

As far as I know the only things that have to be updated each match:
What map is played. (at the start) Who wins/loses. (at the end) Poll for quality of match. (at the end) Updating the losers/winners/finals match. (as matches finish up)
Should be fine. Bad thread is still better than no thread!

I won't LR, i'll just make poll once games are over :p
Raoch burrow harass is cute but the outcome is always the same -> do a bit of damage, lose to the follow-up push. Seen Bly lose like that many times, just isn't a viable way to play because Roach/Hydra has very little defender's advantage.
On September 05 2014 01:18 PhoenixVoid wrote: Bly had great burrow Roach harass but his army size was so small and he didn't have a great transition to Hydras in time.
Letting the Bio/Tank walk across the map unmolested and siege up outside the nat being forced to sac what appeared to be 50 supply of roach to simply deal with the tanks basically lost him the game

Seriously, leagues apart.
They probably are a league apart.
A rough estimation assuming Bly is in Ukraine and ForGG is still in France, google tells me that Kiev and Paris are 2022.76km apart. 1 League is equal to 5556m so they are somewhere around 364 leagues apart. idk their specific locations and both those countries are fairly large so give or take a few leagues

I think ForGG is in Germany (he was there living with his girlfriend few months ago, i guess he's still there)

I don't think so tbh. Bly is in the scene since the beginning of WoL and he was always well respected. He probably should be viewed weaker than ForGG, but there is no massive skill difference.

Because he is missing 7 more sentries for MC style PvZ.

I don't think stalkers alone should be able to beat roach ling and mutas though.
Oh sure, I agree. It's just very easy to fight stalkers even with sentries with a muta flock now. As soon as you start killing stalkers the Protoss has to replenish them and they're pretty costly. You neeeeeeed phoenix. Or a bunch of archons.

overall forcefield skill has degraded. Mostly cause FFs are less useful than before, but still.
I never thought about that, but I suppose forcefields are less useful than in Wings of Liberty. I remember when my favorite PvT opening was sentry/zealot gateway pressure into fast third. PvZ was mostly soultrain and PvP was largely 3 gate robo expand versus 3 gate robo expand. I like HoTS better than Wings of Liberty, but I do miss using sentry focused builds.

Maybe sOs needed a few more forcefields so he wouldn't have been knocked out.

It still hurts, sOs is my favorite player because he does things like carriers into storm. Lets not talk about it ;-)
Kaelaris spouting crap about the engagement for a whole minute, I can feel Apollo's cringe as he tries to interrupt to say that ForGG is obviously losing.
okay i just tuned in. what the fuck happened in that game? it was like 28 minutes and they were both on like 2 or 3 bases and ForGG's bio was on 1-1 upgrades. what?

lots of hideousness, misblinks, idle workers.. it was ugly.
um.... interesting game. Why don't more pros try a hidden expo in those circumstances? No units were on the right side of the map for an entire 10+ minutes. if Mana hadn't been so stubborn about getting that third where he did he could have probably had a fully mining third on the right of the map. I think forGG was so focused on attacking it would have been too late by the time he figured it out.
editing because I put the wrong side of map, oops...

ForGG does an ill conceived (and completely unscouted) Conc shell push into MaNa's natural who opened blink. MaNa destroys the push. MaNa shows some equally poor blink stalker decision making in the counter push to ForGG who eventually shuts it down completely when Stim finishes. ForGG proceeds to have his army out of position on the map vs Blink + Col. He loads up the medivacs to drop the main, gets pushed away but MaNa then loses awareness of his blink stalkers and loses almost all them to the double drop he pushed away.
After that we had a series of failed and poorly executed MMMV + SCV pushes which were shutting down MaNa's third but never finishing the game. MaNa always seemed to come out ahead of these exchanges then proceeded to walk across the map and lose his lead.

At which point was Mana ahead though? ForGG lost nothing against both oracle and the 10 gate. That just delayed the landing of his natural expansion

His oracle got like 6 to 7 kills between the natural and main if I remember right. All Mana had to do was forcefield his ramp so the initial army didn't get into his main. He would have another nexus cannon available.

If Mana only attacked earlier, Bly going greedy with tech and barely making any units while floating 2k minerals. Attack, force zerg to make units, recall if necessary

I have to get those liquibet points. They mean more than anything in the world and I'm not doing too well this season so this is my chance

That's why you poke and prod. You always can recall if you are in trouble. I don't remember mana ever moving out with his main army. He was always at his third or natural.

Yeah, I don't count ret as an active anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if he retired soon.
