ryung is really doing a terrible job in dealing with it, his vikings need to right shift click like rotti said, but already two games in a row he tried to switch it from fighting phoenixes to focusing collossi and in the end he neither killed the colossus nor the phoenixes T_T

There's still Heart and Alicia doing well though. Ryung got pretty unlucky with one of the hardest draws for WCS AM Challenger and Crank got a complete unknown with a day to guess a game plan. With Impact losing in Code A it's not like there's really any shame in losing there. Most of those groups are pretty insane

Isn't that, where preperation is the most useful? Ryung might have seen this build coming, but he wasn't able to deal with it. If he get's one week or something to analyze the situation, he'll not only know, what he faces, but also how he will face it the best way.

Guys, the reason why 8 gate is an all-in is because the assumption is that you'll be warping in units with those 8 gates. While a bit pricey at 1200 minerals, toss usually has about 600-750 of that in many other 2 base into 3 base builds. So essentially, it's just an extra 450-600 minerals. If the zerg builds just a few spine crawlers and extra lings, they've spent more on the 8 gate defense than the toss has on the infrastructure without the units.

This DQ is frankly a result of the disgustingly short notice that was given to all the competitors for challenger league. "Hey, here's your match, oh yeah it's in less than 24 hours, enjoy" is not an acceptable way to run Challenger at all.

It does seem rather silly that they couldn't find a way to negotiate a way around that, that seems like a major debacle.

Exactly, KingKong had university classes on during his scheduled time against Jaedong and with such short notice it was impossible for him to reschedule and as a consequence was forced to DQ against him.
