If you all feel strongly about it, tweet at whatever the twitter was since that will probably have the biggest effect on their minds.

Tweet @redbullESPORTS https://twitter.com/redbullESPORTS

or @MrBitterTV

the format is fun, but it certainly needs some tweaks

Format is awesome. Duno what people are going on about about it being so bad that a player got ganged up on. It's all part of the fun, and Puck definitely earned a lot of respect out of this even still. It makes for a funny storyline, which is a lot of what this format is about imo.

huk/scarlett imo

Huk because everyone should be well prepared against toss and scarlett because she has 2 lives

oh I thought the lives would reset after every day, but I guess that makes more sense.

even just a rule that you have to win one match to get prize money would make a lot of sense i think

People have complaints because it doesn't seem fair for a player to be fighting several series in a row and giving a good fight to be excluded from the prize pool pie all because everyone decided he was the weakest link in the tournament. A limit on how many times a player can be picked or a consolation prize would be a fair treatment given how much he's been through and he has become a bit of a champion in the eyes of LR because of that.

You don't have a motive to pick the weakest player, just the player closest to elimination, since your own lives are irrelevant as long as they're above 0.

So really the only player who had to decide on a "weakest player" apart from puck in the first challenge, was Huk, who decided he'd rather play puck than Scarlett. (both had 2 lives) Everyone else picked the player with the fewest amount of lives, which was puck.

Just change it to split the prize between the players with the most remaining lives, not all the players with remaining lives. This would be more interesting because if there's say, one person with 3 lives and a bunch with 2, everyone would be going after the player with 3 lives, not the player with 1 life.

No... The problem is that people who performed worse are getting money and he isn't. You can hardly call it "sympathy money" here.

Puck has an amazing attitude though. It's great to see him look past his knock-out and keep a good mindset for MLG.
it's sympathy money because people are suggesting the pre established and agreed upon rules be broken for no reason other than "yay puck!"

That isn't necessarily true. I said I disliked the format way before I saw Puck get picked every game, noting how it's a huge disadvantage to the first players. In addition, I didn't know what the tournament format was until after the first match started. Was that even completely revealed by then???

Puck doesn't deserve money because of "yay puck!", he deserves money because he played better than half of the players, had to play EVERY SINGLE MATCH today, and because other players are receiving money for performing worse. I'm not sympathizing with Puck, I'm sympathizing with the person who got screwed by the format.

But I won't keep on complaining about it, as he did receive a bit of prize money ($200) from the qualifier, and he got a paid trip, which is the biggest thing. It's nice that Anaheim is so close to Santa Monica, too.

3-3 is not better than 0-1, it's an incomplete sample. i agree that money for winning nothing is odd, but you can't say that someone who played 6 matches did "better" than someone who played only 1 and lost, it's not a scientific way to measure performance

not sure what it has to do with anything that you didn't know the format beforehand as obviously the players must have known it

I think the gang-up on Puck was fine. Puck getting nothing is fine, too.
I guess people are just mindboggled that Scarlett and Major are being rewarded for losing 1 bo3

I think tomorrow it will be Huk

The price money each day should be split between all the wins that day. If there are X BO3 series that day and a player has won Y, then he/she gets Y divided by X times the amount of price money for that day.

puCK would have still been eliminated and had no chance to earn any more money. But he would receive some for his efforts today, and only the opponents that actually beat him would receive a payout.

Yeah the format just needs some tweaks with the challenges and prize distribution. Make it like a player can't be picked more than twice in a row and the money goes to the survivors who won matches so someone like Polt who cruised 2-0 gets more than Scarlett and Major. Something to think about before the next event because obviously they can't change it now. Wonder who will get picked all day tomorrow!

if anything the outrage would be worse because their hardcore fans would be even MORE pissed and the anti-fans would be trolling and provoking them. the thread would become a total clusterfuck

I pretty much was disappointed and questioned in one of the reddit threads Puck walks away with nothing going 3-3 in 6 BO3 series, while Scarlett and Major get rewarded for not winning... really really lame I hope Red Bull makes some tweaks if they're using this format in the future... honestly if by chance Polt or Violet were down to 1 life, I really doubt everyone else would risk 1 of their 3 lives against them... and really everyone just chose Puck because they thought he was the weakest of them all (more emphasized after HuK took him down to 1 life). Really really disappointed

At least they should hook him (Puck) up with Red Bull drinks for life
