It's all part of the fun, and Puck definitely earned a lot of respect out of this even still. It makes for a funny storyline, which is a lot of what this format is about imo. People have complaints because it doesn't seem fair for a player to be fighting several series in a row and giving a good fight to be excluded from the prize pool pie all because everyone decided he was the weakest link in the tournament. A limit on how many times a player can be picked or a consolation prize would be a fair treatment given how much he's been through and he has become a bit of a champion in the eyes of LR because of that.

So really the only player who had to decide on a "weakest player" apart from puck in the first challenge, was Huk, who decided he'd rather play puck than Scarlett. (both had 2 lives) Everyone else picked the player with the fewest amount of lives, which was puck. Just change it to split the prize between the players with the most remaining lives, not all the players with remaining lives. This would be more interesting because if there's say, one person with 3 lives and a bunch with 2, everyone would be going after the player with 3 lives, not the player with 1 life.

The problem is that people who performed worse are getting money and he isn't. You can hardly call it "sympathy money" here. Puck has an amazing attitude though. It's great to see him look past his knock-out and keep a good mindset for MLG. That isn't necessarily true. I said I disliked the format way before I saw Puck get picked every game, noting how it's a huge disadvantage to the first players. In addition, I didn't know what the tournament format was until after the first match started. Was that even completely revealed by then??? Puck doesn't deserve money because of "yay puck!", he deserves money because he played better than half of the players, had to play EVERY SINGLE MATCH today, and because other players are receiving money for performing worse. I'm not sympathizing with Puck, I'm sympathizing with the person who got screwed by the format. But I won't keep on complaining about it, as he did receive a bit of prize money ($200) from the qualifier, and he got a paid trip, which is the biggest thing. It's nice that Anaheim is so close to Santa Monica, too.

It's nice that Anaheim is so close to Santa Monica, too. 3-3 is not better than 0-1, it's an incomplete sample. i agree that money for winning nothing is odd, but you can't say that someone who played 6 matches did "better" than someone who played only 1 and lost, it's not a scientific way to measure performance not sure what it has to do with anything that you didn't know the format beforehand as obviously the players must have known it

I think the gang-up on Puck was fine. Puck getting nothing is fine, too. I guess people are just mindboggled that Scarlett and Major are being rewarded for losing 1 bo3 I think tomorrow it will be Huk

The price money each day should be split between all the wins that day. If there are X BO3 series that day and a player has won Y, then he/she gets Y divided by X times the amount of price money for that day. puCK would have still been eliminated and had no chance to earn any more money. But he would receive some for his efforts today, and only the opponents that actually beat him would receive a payout.
