You are going to face Russia, which reached the second place of NationWars I. What are the weaknesses of this nation?
Stareagle: Russian players are very good and they will feel very confident against us, maybe we can surprise them.
What is the Italian strategy to win this match?
Stareagle: We'll try to make a good player and map selection to fit our playstyle. You will play against France. What do you think about their line-up? Is Stephano not still a little bit american?
Xenocider: I have reviewed France's line up, and I can only see 1 player capable of producing hellbats. Team USA on the other hand will have 3 players that can produce hellbats, if my extensive math education has taught me anything, it's that 3 > 1. Mathematically speaking, we are favored to win. I do not fear Stephano, ever since my colleague Incontrol punched him into retirement, he has only shown lack luster performances. And, the game was actually over about 20 minutes earlier than it ended, qxc just didn't know it. Stephano just lacked the capabilities to get an immediate victory as a result of his swarm host usage. I am quite positive that Stephano would have won the game even if qxc had gotten all of the resources left on the entire map at the point of surrender, just because qxc would never have any possible way of defeating the swarm hosts with the vipers and defensive structures in play.

Eh, it is what it is. I'm not a swarmhost fan, but that was still a very well played game from Stephano. I think more than anything, Terran game theory needs to be further developed to deal with that style.

Stephano himself said on his stream that he stopped trying to sh vs Terrans because it was to hard to secure a 4th. I think it was mostly the map that allowed this style. Also the early lead with that roach push.

The problem isn't swarmhost, they're needed because protoss wrecks anything else with colossus/templar, which protoss need to battle terran bio cause it's overpowered. It's all terrans fault to begin with. Shoo.

There's nothing to develop. It's impossible for QXC to switch from 200/200 bio to mass air without dying during the switch.

Bio can beat swarm hosts, the problem was he was defensive for too long and let Stephano get infestors/vipers and a million static defense.
Once you let Stephano reach that critical point the only thing that wins is 30 ravens.

I think more than anything, Terran game theory needs to be further developed to deal with that style. There's nothing to develop. He should have done ravens. 4-6 of these are great to contain SH with seeker missiles. Massive drops on Stephano main would have done damages too. Instead QXC chooses to drop on Stephano's mining bases and that have done no harm : Stephano already has a huge bank and loose only 300 minerals in the process whereas QXC lost a lot of minerals and gaz with dead units and medivacs.
He also kept donating tanks and marines/marauders to Stephano by keeping coming in his SH trap in the middle.
If you want to whine, whine about QXC play. Swarm host is not really the best option in ZvT.

Timing attack is the easiest way to kill SH, between locust that are 30yards away from SH and SH spawn new locusts. Somehow only Stephano is able to attack in that timing so fair I have seen.
